I SWEAR the left is clueless on any history they don't read in a nursery rhyme.
She was asked about it once answered it and moved on. She did not bring it up.
Omg. You need to stop googling and start reading. The British were going to Lex/Con precisely because they had information that there was a cache of weapons/powder there.
“Stores” did not mean Wal-mart 200 years ago.
Thank you for the help, even if you felt the need to snark at me a bit for being negligent in my studies.
It was going to be a while before I got to the history in question...as I make up for being a lazy public school kid as a boy.
You have many posts attacking Palin, you are no Palin Backer.
Romney’s your man.
Brilliant, you have finally figured out what the rest of the contortion crowd have been trying dodo.
That's correct. If and when she is nominated, then I'll back her.
Romneys your man.
I must respectfully tell you that you are a total freaking idiot.
If anything, I'm an anti-Mormon bigot who has made fun of Romney's magic underpants for years.
Try to at least know something about what you assert.
Then get your n00bie ass to work and provide a few examples of this disparagement.
It should be easy, since it's "constant".
Either that or admit you have no clue what you're talking about.
You know, maybe, just maybe Paul Revere WAS overrated. Just saying how do we KNOW what he told the British. All we have is his statement. None of the British officers statements are on record from back then.
Maybe, just maybe, Paul Revere wasn’t the hero we read about in the nursery rhymes...
And are you trying to tell me Washington wasn't a hero in 1754?? But the Gentlemen at Williamsburg said so!!!
That the cherry tree story was just a tale...and that what he really did was "KILL HIS MOTHER'S FAVORITE COLT" showing off for "the boys".
Having a little fun here....but don't see where anyone has even mentioned the minutemen.
You can’t convince Neal Boortz of anything. He is most certain he is the smartest man in the entire world.
It would be easier to read Heinlein, or even Rand, but obviously Locke was the nexus of much of the Founding Father’s thinking. I read a critique of The Federalist long ago that made the point that run-on sentences were typically the product of poor composition, but in the case of Jay, Madison, and Hamilton the opposite was true. Their ideas and apologies required it.
Gee, what a nice, patronizing post. :eyeroll:
Paul Revere Derangement Syndrome!!!!
Apology accepted. Remember, we're on the same side. Instead of attacking our own, we should be going after Obama and his merry band of Marxists. Or at least focusing on keeping another McCain-like creature like Romney or Huck from getting the GOP nomination.
But how do you explain Palin got it right in a somewhat roundabout way?
Gator Girl pretty much summed it up. It was a rambling statement and appeared to come to its conclusion almost by accident.
There's nothing wrong with that. Even the best speakers stumble from time to time. This really isn't a big deal and I am at a loss to understand why people are obsessing about it.
I like Sarah Palin (I would like to hear more about her proposed immigration policies, though) and if she becomes the GOP nominee, she will have my support.
But I see her, as any other politician, as a human just like the rest of us. I don't care for the whole worshipful cult-of-personality thing I see with some people.
Had Palin couched her remarks with "After Revere was captured . . ." blah blah blah, she would have been more correct.
She was just wrong. Human beings make mistakes. No big deal. No need to torture history to try and prove the infallibility of Sarah Palin.
When I got into my car to go home from work yesterday I turned on A M talk radio and Mike Gallagher launched into a justifiable rant about anti-Palin conservatives...he voiced my opinion exactly which diffused my anger. I feel better now...you of that ilk can carry on and go do the voodoo that you do so well. :oP
I hope you're being tongue-in-cheek.
Revere was one of the most active and important members of Boston's Sons of Liberty. He was their comms, their eyes, their ears, and one of their chief propagandists/operators.
