WI: Feingold, taxis circle Capitol
Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel ^ | 6/6/11 | Jason Stein

Madison -- Former U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold led a crowd of hundreds of marchers, taxi cabs and an antique fire engine around the Capitol Square in a demonstration Monday.

In the heat, the pro-union demonstrators -- perhaps as many as 1,000 in all -- marched in opposition to Gov. Scott Walker's budget policies that would end most collective bargaining for public workers and cut aid to schools and local governments.

Meanwhile a few tents were left up near the square in a "Walkerville" protest area meant to invoke the Depression-era protests against then President Herbert Hoover.

Sorry to say this knowing there’s a lot of good people up in WI.... I HOPE IT SNOWS LIKE A SOB. Snows in freakishly high drifts. Snows in a way that requires the National Guard. Not snowplow depth. No boxplow depth. I’m talking get the biggest loaders you can and fire up the diesels.

Hoping for such weather so that these pathetic losers (looters) protesting don’t get the pleasure of a suntan. Get a job, go to work, stop asking for taxpayers to pay your way cradle to grave.

Isn’t it strange how they can pass collective bargaining laws in Democrat-controlled states like Illinois and not one protestor shows up.....

ASSUMING they're all from Wisconsin (which is unlikely), that's .017% of the states population.

I think that's what Communists call a "mandate."

Hooverville protests were by people who didn’t have anything to eat.

“Walkerville” protesters are a bunch of highly-compensated state employees with superior benefits who are bitching about having to pay a small fraction of their fair share.

Conflate that, you liberal scumbag writers and editors.

Walker should finish the job and kick Unions out of ALL government jobs including police and firefighters. WI has been over generous with them.

It's about time Governor Walker and the Statehouse pushed another new money saving law while the liberal scum are trying to catch their breath from the last battle. There must be some useless state departments or programs that can be dismantled?

Oh, come on! This "Walkerville" protestor looks like he hasn't had a decent meal in at least 2 hours! :-)

He’s Wisconsin’s Jimmuh Cartuh. Won’t take “Get lost!” for an answer.

The pro-union, big-government, protesters called it “Walkerville.” The rest of us call it “Entitlementville.”
