In the first town hall of his freshly announced presidential campaign, Mitt Romney yesterday reaffirmed his view that global warming is occurring and that humans are contributing to it, a position that has been rejected in recent years by many Republicans as the issue has taken on a greater partisan tinge.
"I don't speak for the scientific community, of course," Romney said. "But I believe the world's getting warmer. I can't prove that, but I believe based on what I read that the world is getting warmer. And number two, I believe that humans contribute to that . . . so I think it's important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may well be significant contributors to the climate change and the global warming that youâre seeing."

He should go back to Massachussetts then. Stay the hell out of my state.

Iowa “believes” in the man caused global warming myth because it keeps the ethanol subsidies coming.
NH loves such “moderate” Republicans.
and South Carolina is going to have an open primary where the Dem candidate (Obama) is running unopposed so the SC Dems (nearly 2/3s being African-American) have an “Operation Chaos” (thanks Rush) opportunity to pick the GOP’s biggest loser to win.By embracing the myth of man caused global warming,Mitt is telling our libs to pick him.
Of course he believes in global warming, he gets his ‘truth’ from feelings not facts (back to the burning in the bosom that told him Mormonism is the only true church).
Really, things like that are exactly why a Mormon should never be president. You cannot trust them to make decisions based on facts rather than what their prophet teaches or place feeling over fact.
A great book to read for ANYONE who thinks Mitt religion won’t come into play is this book here: When Salt Lake City calls by Rocky Hulse, a 6th generation Mormon who became a Christian in the 1980s.

He won’t get my vote in the primary. If he manages to win the primary, I suppose I’ll have to vote for him because I would vote for any self-respecting house plant over the catastrophe we now have in the Oval Office.
In other words: “Don’t drill here, don’t drill now, keep sending our wealth to mad dog jihadi killers and communists like Chavez.”
I won’t walk across the street to vote if this guy is nominated.
No chance.
That is why he can’t be president. He will say and do anything to keep the left wing media from saying mean things about him.
He knows that his only chance to win the nomination will be with the support of the establishment RINO`s, so why not go for broke?
And with the likes of Michelle Bachmann running for personal gain, with no worries of it splitting the vote in Romney`s direction, he probably has a good point.
ROMNEY-RINO and RINO-ROMNEY
Why? Because Romney is the epitomy of every RINO and every RINO is like Romney.
Besides, it has a nice ring to it.
Finally, when some one asks you what a RINO is, then just refer to Romney the RINO.
Then that will end what the confusion about what a RINO is and where Mitt Romney stands...
Rino
Isn’t it great how this year’s candidates are putting nails in their coffins early?
Are you friggin kidding me? That sounds like what a 10 year from a public school would say.
Has anyone told this numbnut its summertime???
I wanna know who the goobs are giving him ALL this damn money to run for President??? Who are these knuckleheads???
When I was a wee curious boy I stuck a bobby pin into an electrical socket. I never did it again.
Romney is so determinedly stupid I almost feel sorry for the fool. “Almost” is the operative word.
This guy apparently only sees and hears what his handlers want him to. It is impossible Romney has a thinking brain.
Beam him up CPT. Kirk.
I really have to thank Mitt Rommney and Newt Ginrich for making things immeasurably easy for me, right out of the gate, to disqualify them from my consideration.
He can’t prove it, but he believes it. Psst, Mitt. I have a bridge I’d like to sell ya.
I think Palin has rattled his cage. He’s got to be thinking “OMG I’ll actually have to go up against a real conservastive. This won’t do. It won’t do at all”.
You really can’t put Romney and Gingrich in the same class.
IMO Romney has proven himself to be a complete maroon.
Gingrich had a strategy, when he had that ill-conceived picture taken with Pelosi. Newt’s point was that instead of just saying “No”, which the Dems can exploit, we need to engage in the debate and educate the people. He never said or implied that he believes in global warming.
