Vanity: Sarah Palin on Hannity makes the case for a Third Party Run
June 3, 2011 | no dems

Posted on 06/03/2011 6:35:54 PM PDT by no dems

Just saw Sarah Palin on Hannity. When asked about Donald Trump possibly running as a Third Party Candidate, Sarah said that a year ago she would have resisted such an idea. But, the GOP has failed to do what the American people elected them to do (Repeal Obamacare, no budget passed, etc.) and if they "don't get their stuff together" there is going to be a Third Party rise up because the GOP has failed to do the job and give the people of America a sound message of their plan for America because they are so afraid of offending somebody.

When Sean Hannity asked if she would consider a Third Party run, she said she does not see that happening "right now". She said she hopes the GOP gets their act together.

It doesn’t matter if she makes a 3rd party run. I’m writing in her name if Romney is the GOP nominee. I will not vote for “the lesser of two evils”, not when there is an immediate danger to voting for socialism-lite instead of someone who will dismantle socialism. Sarah has my vote if she’s the nominee or if Romney is. For other nominees, it depends upon whether that person can be trusted to dismantle Obama’s entire legacy and then some.

If you want to get the elite Pubes attention, change your party registration at your local elections office from Pubs to Independent or Conservative (if permitted). Trust me when they start to see erosion from the voting base before the financial base has begun to buy influence, they will notice. Now if they are of the same mindset as the late Peter Jennings that is just voters pitching a fit, then so be it. It is their doom.

I agree that this election is the absolute last chance for the slow, lumbering, dopey-eyed establishment elephant to become conservative in perpetuity or find itself in the elephant graveyard. If so, good riddance to the country club, wine and croissant loving RINOs.

I both fear and suspect, the Election of 2012 will mirror the Election of 1852: If the Dems win big (House, Senate, and POTUS), then the Republicans will fall into the dustbin of history. The TEA Party WILL rise, despite the Socialists attempt to prevent it/outlaw it. The TEA party will lose the POTUS position in 2016, but make local and Congressional gain. Then they will win in 2020. After that, it CWIII.

The U.S. is about 30% lib/left, 30% Republican/conservative and 30% Independent/No Party.

Palin has little support with the Indie's and maybe 60% Republicans on a good day. She would get virtually no democrats.

60% of 30% is 18%, about what Perot got. If she ran 3rd party, she'd get maybe 10% Conservative/Republican support - 9-10% of all voters..

Best case is Palin gets 85% Republicans and 15% Indies(and that's high. Most Indies are fiscal conservatives, but social liberals). That's 40.5%. Still no dice.

Oh swell! Let’s all unite behind Willard or one of the other cardboard cut-outs who have come forward so far, and go slurping down the tubes exactly like we did with Dole and McCain!

I was about to do that very thing, then I realized that I want to vote in the primaries for Palin and who knows between now and the election what the rules may change to be.

"Right on Sarah"

The rest of the interview was very impressive too.

This woman has grown a lot in the last couple of years.

Is it a coincidence that one day after meeting with Trump, Sarah suggests that a third party may be the way to go. Maybe Sarah and Donald talked about pooling their resources and power to form a third. It's the perfect time to do so. And this country really needs it.

The Republicans are next to useless. Their chance is about to pass them by. If the vote goes three ways, the Republicans will only get the fear vote, which is fitting, the Democrats with get the anti-American vote and the third party will get the American vote.

It is time folks. If you can't see that, you never will. America is fed up with this government. They very well may jump at the chance for a new government ruled by the old constitution.

This may all be a threat meant to get the GOP to be a little more realistic (i.e., conservative). Neither Trump nor Palin could win on a third party ticket, and I think they both know it and are doing this as a strategic move. Also, I don’t think either one of them really wants to be president.

That said, if the GOP picks a lame-brain RINO like Romney, Huntsman, or the other losers circulating around out there, I’d suspect that either one or both of them might run. Neither would win, nor would the GOP candidate, but that person wouldn’t have won anyway.

Why can’t the GOP for one time in its life nominate an attractive candidate who is not part of the GOB (Good Ol’ Boys) network?

The two major parties make it just about impossible for a third party.

Sounded like a shot across the bow to the Country Club. They cost us at least 10 seats last election.

Pray for America

Romney isn't THAT bad

Mitt IS that bad! If Sarah Palin is not on the ballot, then I will write her name in. I am done, done, done, voting for the lesser of two evils.

If Palin cannot win the GOP nomination, then she surely could not win the General. Most of her base is disgusted with the ruling class GOP, but many are still registered Republicans JUST LIKE SHE STILL IS. There is no way for the math to work better for her as an independent than it does as a Republican.

The math is the math.
