Chuck will be 85 this year.

He’s had his ups and downs over the years but he is one of the great pioneers of early rock.

So many of the songs he wrote are true classics. One unique aspect of so many of his hit songs is that they tell a story: Johnny B. Goode, School Days, Sweet Little 16, Almost Grown, Back In The USA, The Promised Land, You Never Can Tell.

His music was picked up by many of the greatest performers to come along in the last 60 years or so. The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Springsteen - the list is long... And so many of them have cited Chuck and his music as an early inspiration in their own careers.

His music is on uncountable movie soundtracks. It seems that all the great 50’s / 60’s nostalgia movies have some Chuck Berry music.
