UK: Public ‘at risk’ as 70 terrorists released ("bomb makers could be walking the streets")

Public ‘at risk’ as 70 terrorists released

High risk ... Saajit Badat, left, and Moinul Abedin

High risk ... Saajit Badat, left, and Moinul Abedin

UP to 70 convicted terrorists due to be released this year will not be properly monitored, a probation chief warned yesterday.

The "high risk" extremists, some of them bomb makers, could be walking the streets after being freed on licence.

But Harry Fletcher, assistant general secretary of the National Association of Probation Officers, said cuts to services meant adequate checks could not be kept on them.

He added: "They have to be supervised by us and the police at a fairly intensive level.

"My fear is as cuts go deeper we're going to be unable to give them the close attention that we have hitherto. These men require maximum supervision and we're not going to be able to do it."

Among those set for release are Saajit Badat, jailed for 13 years in 2005 for plotting with shoe bomber Richard Reid. Also due to walk free is Moinul Abedin, jailed for 20 years in 2002 for making bomb detonators.

MPs said Government plans to water down control orders that allow dangerous individuals to be put under virtual house arrest will make the problem even worse.

Labour home affairs spokesman Gerry Sutcliffe said: "I think there is a danger that the security services are going to be overstretched.

"I would urge ministers to keep control orders in place until there is a better alternative."

Tory MP Patrick Mercer said: "The system needs a radical overhaul to protect the public."

How many American Congress-critters and State Senators have spoken up in this sort of forceful, public-service oriented way when it was recently announced that thousands of violent offenders would be released in California?

How many 'news' papers have highlighted the dangers inherent in this proposed action here in the USA?

My guess: Not many. My belief: Not nearly enough.

Please say a Prayer for our Dear British Friends as well as the thousands of innocent Americans who will undoubtedly be victimized as a direct result of the early release of violent criminals.

Penal Colony ... Fresh water an a self sustaining agriculture environment. Sesame street streamed to the island in Mandarin Chinese.

Yep... That would do it... Life sentence for terrorism to such a place if we’re not allowed to execute them.

I’m hard-pressed to find anything objectionable in what you’ve said.....

Do you have any plans of running for public office? If so, you’ve got my vote ;-)

Here's an option that's already in place...we don't even need to find a penal colony island:

"....if prisoner numbers increase, jail supremo Sheriff Joe Arpaio simply orders extra tents. He says: “I will build tents to house 100,000 people before I ever let anybody out of jail early. If I have to, I will put up tents from here to Mexico.”

Inside America's toughest jail (Brit paper says Sheriff Joe Arpaio's ideas would be great for U.K.)

I'm wondering.....

Why can they not be deported to their homes of origin?

Why can they not be deported to their homes of origin?

I'm guessing that most State Sponsors of Terrorism, which most likely are the homelands of these scum, do not have deportation agreements in place with Great Britain.

And, the Left would probably object on the basis that they would be 'persecuted' in their native countries.

Also, and very sadly, it's quite likely that many of these terrorists were born in the UK and 'educated' by the various militant islamist imams who have been so prolific there, so deportation would not be an option.

That guy on the left looks like Rage Boy.

I have to find some humor in this, as it simply makes me angry.

I see the familial resemblance.  Or, perhaps it's the cancer of islamofascism which turns everyone it touches into an ugly imbecile.

Agreed.  I think that one of the only cures for this sort of anger is increasing your bacon consumption and aggressively opposing the encroachment of sharia here in the USA.

Well, working on the bacon consumption as we speak...:)

One thing is sure, we aren’t taking this seriously. We are treating Sharia as just another “cultural wrinkle” to be accommodated so we aren’t viewed as intolerant.

It WILL bite us.

The UK allows their girls to be auctioned and
sold near Gatwick — and releases terrorists.

Close to midnight for the British people, asleep.

We dont ‘allow’ anything of the sort.

Trafficking is a very serious crime, and there are many police units devoted to it, be it London, Manchester or Glasgow. Be it Muslim gangs or Eastern European gangs or native pimps.

Does America ‘allow’ thousands of murders?. No they happen, and the perpetrators are sought, caught and jailed.
