Palin generally doesn't use "code speak". If she says "infrastructure", she likely means it in the traditional sense: roads, bridges, ports, pipelines, etc.
She said Piper apologizes for pushing a reporter yesterday and has a flower for you — “she was trying protect me.” Piper shyly looks away so Mom takes the two flowers and gives one each to two reporters.
She’s always been extremely defensive of Israel.
It’s an interesting contrast to Obama.
These criminals consider the United States an invader state---a foreign power imposed on Third World hellholes. They arrogantly refuse to refer to the US by its legal name. The US is known by Mexicans as el Norte, (“the North”), el Otro Lado (“the Other Side”), or Gringolandia (the “Anglo Entity”).

Georgia won’t be part of the proposed Latino homeland of Aztlán, but Latino civil rights leaders from Phoenix will march and protest in different parts of Atlanta next week for immigration laws they view as unjust. “Latinos won’t stay at the back of the bus anymore. We are taking over this land and anybody who doesn’t like it should go back to Europe,” says Jorge Serrano of Take Back Aztlán. “Racism should not be tolerated anymore in this country. Freud would have a field day with these people----that "warrior" mentality evidences a distinct lack of self esteem. They actually think we are "frail white people." That's what the Japanese thought. The same mistake Mexicans made with Texans.
The disturbed left’s identity politics with its propensity to separate and balkanize America moves ahead apace with the era of Obama. You remember Obama? The post-racial president that was supposed to “heal” America? Yeah, that one.
Fair enough, but that’s what they told us to sell the ‘stimulus’ package. Sure, it was a Dem/union slush fund, but they still made the same argument to sell it.
When you don’t have a highway system, building a highway system is a great investment. When you do have a highway system and tax everyone to the hilt do maintain it and then throw a bunch more money to build bridges that nobody wants or rebuild bike paths that nobody uses, you’re not ‘investing’ in anything. You’re just throwing money away.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of useful ‘investments’ for the government to make in infrastructure. Unless you’re talking a government sponsored project to build thorium reactors or something like that. THAT would be a real investment.
When she says “infrastructure” I’m confident she means the things Govt is traditionaly responsible for...
Not windfarms ,solar fields , broadband, dropped calls, and bullet trains to bankruptcy...
I think if you were to take a hard honest look at the state of just the bridges in this country, you might change your opinion.
My city, Indianapolis, needs to spend billions on our combined drainage/sewer systems.
There’s a lot of infrastructure in this country that needs tending to, but it’s not glamorous, it doesn’t buy votes, so it gets put off for someone else to deal with.

Texans accused of selling counterfeit IDs (impoverished illegals "here for a better life" pay several thousand $$$ for fake ID's)
Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity, NJ L/E authorities said. The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses----for any state in the US------ passports and resident alien cards, said state police.
The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker. Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot. Authorities wouldn't identify the NJ hotel by name for fear it would spark retribution. The Drug Interdiction Task Force regularly runs checks.
The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout. Authorities approached the Texas brothers when they returned to the NJ hotel and questioned them separately.
The Texas brothers consented to a search. Police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs. All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street when sold to "impoverished illegals." Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 phony Social Security cards. ####

A former Marysville resident has been sentenced to prison and ordered to pay back $3 million in fraudulently obtained unemployment compensation. US Attorney Benjamin B. The most widespread abuse stems from the requirement that children live with the worker for more than six months of the year. IRS does little to verify the claim. Many immigrants claim non-existent children, or claim children who they’ve left behind with relatives. Those with two or more children and income below $32,121 could get as much as $4,008. It is estimated that illegals got $22 billion EITC refunds.

REFERENCE In July 2010, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) released the results of a study which examined the costs of illegal immigration at the federal, state and local levels. The study found that U.S. state and local governments shell out $84.2 billion annually in various services (law enforcement, schools, social services, etc.), with California taxpayers alone, spending $21 billion on illegal aliens every year.
The same study found that $29 billion is spent every year in federal funds on illegal aliens. So, while it would cost a one-time fee of about $135 billion to deport every single illegal alien in the country, it is actually a bargain considering the fact that it already costs us $113 billion annually to keep them here.
And if you took an honest look at how much money is taken in SPECIFICALLY FOR the purpose of maintaining those bridges and is wasted on other nonsense, you might change to my point of view.
