Sarah Palin's bus tour treats reporters like paparazzi

Sarah Palin and her advisers are refusing to tell members of the media where she is going on her current bus tour - and the former Alaska governor seems to be enjoying the cat and mouse game that's resulted.
"I don't think I owe anything to the mainstream media ... I want them to have to do a little bit of work on a tour like this, and that would include not necessarily telling them beforehand where every stop's going to be," she told fellow Fox News employee Greta Van Susteren in an interview from the bus.
Yet the reemergence of the GOP's larger-than-life 2008 vice presidential candidate - who says she is strongly considering a run for president - is undeniably news. Which is why more than a dozen national news outlets have sent reporters and producers out to try and follow Palin.
Since Palin and her team won't share where the potential candidate is headed, reporters and producers have little choice but to simply stay close to Palin's bus. This has resulted in scenes of the Palin bus tooling down the highway followed by a caravan of 10 or 15 vehicles - including a massive CNN bus - all trying to make sure they don't lose sight of the Palin bus.
It adds up to a dangerous situation, says CBS News Producer Ryan Corsaro.

Oh, that's beautiful. So elegant, so American. I remember (barely) when a car trip of a few hundred miles was an all-day affair and stopping by the roadside to eat a picnic lunch was part of the trip.
And knowing the Palins, they would have enough on hand to feed them all. After all, it would be good payback because she's eating their lunch every day. :) I hope she does it!
Well, the reality is that when reading posts in sequential order there is no way to avoid it. It’s annoying. I would guess that most folks are too shy to say anything. He’s free to keep posting it if he wants, of course, but at some point people are just going to think he’s an ass.
RE: Piper running interference.
Waiting for the press to say that Sarah was using her daughter as a human shield.
It's "Fox and Hounds"
Of course, given his huge (at that time) contract and the fact he'd been classified IV-F for the draft (military, not NFL!), he really wasn't taken very seriously by the media at that point.
So some wag asked him, “Hey, Namath, what did you study at Alabama - basket weaving?”
Reply: “Hell, no! Something a lot simpler than that!”
“Oh yeah? What?”
Joe's reply was a curt, “Journalism!”
CA....
Wish I could get Sarah and Family to a couple of incredibly beautiful spots in Northern Nevada. We could rent the family a couple good SUV’s, and dare the media to follow us. I can take roads that are easy enough for their stupid vans to follow, but would end up getting flat tire after flat tire about 20 miles in (and out of cell range).
i.e. please stop us from hurting someone.
This is a blatant misquote. I heard this soundbite on Rush. She did NOT use the word "mainstream".
LOL!!! Thanks for sharing. I always did like Broadway Joe.
The MSM are NOT Papparazzi. The Papparazzi are scum opportunists who dig into people’s private lives, disparage them and smear them for fun and profit.
The MSM are traitors bent on destroying this great nation by installing hard Socialism.
Big difference.
To CBS News Producer Ryan Corsaro and his like-minded paparazzi: Go away and pleasure yourselves at the feet of your Kenyan messiah.
They *are* paparazzi.
They've already "lost" control, they're desperately trying to regain it, to which, "not a chance," says I...

Those idiots, if they ever actually became lost on some back road, don't have the skill, ability, or training to even survive a week, let alone report on it...

Not sure about *that*. The Palin family were in the Bodymore, Murderland area, Fort Mc Henry, to be exact, yesterday, after The National Archives, and Mount Vernon. They then headed up to Gettysburg. All on Monday, it's been quite a trip thus far...
