Bryson is a former chairman and chief executive officer of Edison International, a California-based energy company. He also has an extensive background in environmental issues

He doesn't sound like a businessman. He sounds like a greenie and a crony who knows how to squeeze money from the government to fund boondoggles.

Not what we need.

There is NO ONE, deeper entrenched in energy racketeering than John Bryson, founder of the Natural Resources Defense Council and principal architect of the 2002 power crisis in California.

Sold Pizzas? Nope, he has never sold anything. According to the short bio in the story, he is a career bureaucrat. Just what I expect from professional politicians.

and there is this little slip add on in the WaPo.

The president has also named Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of General Electric, to head an outside panel of economic advisers, known as the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness. Several other private sector leaders, including those representing small businesses, were also named to the council.

You call the CEO of Edison International a bureaucrat? No, he's a thug. See post 4 above.

baraq will appoint only those who agree with him.

Digging a little deeper I see that Bryson is the director of Coda Automotive and Henry Paulson is an advisory boardmember.

I was thinking...”Waitaminit...what happened to Gary Locke?” He’s going to be our next ambassador to China.

Makes sense now....in whatever can be called ‘sense’ when you’re referring to the Obama Regime....

That must be the latest phony DNC "talking point".

It may fool a large segment of the remarkably naive and unquestioning Globe editors, reporters, and readership, but it won't fool people who have even a modicum of critical thinking skills...

another swing and miss by obama.
Those who understand that ‘value creation’ is what is needed now, know this appointment is worthless.

Small business votes ‘no confidence’

Let me guess: said “businessman” is an academic or party hack who operated a Ben and Jerry’s store one summer when he was in college.

The commerce department needs to be cut back and combined with a lot of other cabinet agencies.
