he Obama Administration is getting ready to ditch the Food Pyramid, a symbol of healthy eating for the last two decades.
In its place, officials are "dishing up" a simple, plate-shaped symbol, sliced into wedges for basic food groups and half-filled with fruits and vegetables.
Beside the plate is a smaller circle for dairy, suggesting a glass of low-fat milk or perhaps a yogurt cup.
The revised pyramid is part of the administration's crusade against obesity, led by first lady Michelle Obama.

Hey Lady!
I hope so!.................
I can’t find the Butterfingers on that pyramid.
If I followed that pyramid, I think I would go crazy.
That explains Vegan behavior......................
Are butterfingers animal, vegetable or mineral?....................
I seriously have never met a happy Vegan. The ones that I know are MISERABLE. They have bad attitudes, look unhealthy and just rotten personalities. Maybe you are what you eat. Cheesecake makes me VERY, VERY happy.
i thought that was gone a long time ago
Neil Cavuto, is that you?
Neil would have included Yodels. Neil loves Yodels.
I wouldn’t be happy either if all I had for Thanksgiving was tofurkey.................
Here’s the real pyramid. We are working and slaving at the bottom to pay for the silly elites at the top who dictate what we get to eat.
I smirk at people who want more restrictions because they ASSUME they won’t be the ones targeted. Bad assumption. There is something each and every one of us does or doesn’t do that would put us in a category that is “unhealthy”. If the pursuit of happiness to one is finding the perfect chocolate chip cookie, then good for them!
Tofurkey.... it’s what’s NOT for dinner.
Exactly, there is nothing they won’t fiddle with and try to put their stamp on. But to me it just proves the ridiculousness of some of these things. They tackle nothing truly significant or meaningful (thankfully)
I’ve made kosher dill zucchini sticks. They are WONDERFUL! Also use green beans, pickle them the same way. OUTSTANDING! Very cool and tasty in the summer...
I gotta do something with all these dang zukes!..........
Vegetarians apparently do not know how to add - or build pyramids to their specs
Veggie group at 3-5 servings
and
Fruit group at 2-4 servings
Combined = 5-9 servings of both groups
But yet they have the carb portion of the pyramid in the middle at 6-11 servings.
6-to-11 servings is more than 5-to-9 servings
Their pyramid is wrong according to their math :>)
Nice catch!
Note also that it says: Eat Liberally....................
