WASHINGTON -- Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will travel to Iowa next month as part of her nationwide bus tour, two sources with direct knowledge of the plan told RealClearPolitics. Palin's trip to the nation's first voting state -- where she has not yet set foot this year --will further escalate the already feverish speculation that she is leaning toward a White House run.

Palin added in an interview with Fox Newss Greta Van Susteren (one of her go-to members of the mainstream media):
I dont think I owe anything to the mainstream media ... I want them to have to do a little bit of work on a tour like this, and that would include not necessarily telling them beforehand where every stops going to be. Gotta LOVE it! You GO girl!

She definitely does have a ground game in Iowa. There is a group that has been working feverishly in Iowa for months. One of my best friends of one of those working for Palin.
They claim they are not connected to Palin in any way but it's hard to believe they have not had some contact as a couple of them I know, are from out of state. Peter Singleton has lived here for months from CA and I know another woman who flies to Iowa each weekend, assumingly at her own expense to work for Palin.
I believe the strategy is that they are putting together lists of Palin supporters so than when Palin announces, they'll be ready to help her.

They better get way better organized because they are light years behind... even Ron Paul's people.

I think you are probably correct. Of course, Paul has said he's running where Palin has not but I find it difficult to believe she is not because if she isn't there is a certain number of people who are certainly spending a lot of their own time and money trying to advance her candidacy.
For them to be doing this without some kind of strong indication she is running seems silly to me.

JUST SAY NO
to Romney
We are totally and utterly screwed if he gets the nomination. 4 more years of Obama and a dead US as we know it.

Thanks for the Iowa info. Palin is approaching this as a hunter would, sneaking up on the game quietly though in full view.

Never seen a politician who has the common touch to compare with her. If she has any vanity, it sure doesn’t show.
