"The bottom line is Sarah Palin is not going to run for president," says a Republican adviser close to front-runner Mitt Romney. "She's making money, she's moved on, she's kind of an entertainer rather than a politician. She still has some sway with the grass roots, but she is not going to run." "I don't think she's going to run," says a Republican close to Tim Pawlenty. "She has faded a lot in the last few months. I look at what she's doing now and say that she's found a way to get back in the story."
Maybe these representatives of rival campaigns are just spinning. But the fact is, some of the most serious people in the 2012 Republican race don't believe Palin will run. While the press looks at the former Alaska governor's publicity operation, political pros look at her campaign operation, or, more accurately, her lack of a campaign operation.
"Watch what she has done," says the Republican close to Romney. "Has she contacted one major donor across the country about putting together an organization? Has she talked to one member of the Republican National Committee about working for a campaign, or one governor, or one former governor about working for a campaign? The answer is no."
Campaigns are filled with routine work. For example, on Thursday, the Pawlenty team sent out a message headlined, "Governor Pawlenty Unveils Florida Finance Team." It's not newsy, but it's the kind of thing presidential campaigns have to do. Palin's not doing it. There are no Palin campaign organizations in early primary and caucus states, or anywhere else, for that matter.
Nevertheless, the political world is filled with speculation about Palin's intentions. Until recently, most Republican insiders believed she would not run.

I see the problem now. What you are missing is white liberals are turning to Romney. White conservatives are not. This has nothing to do with a degree. Obama is a failure, and white libs are picking the nearest GOP candidate they can support.
I just wanted your opinion on what we see thus far.
I was in the MA GOP when Romney was elected —at first thrilled and then sadly disillusioned. He basically abandoned the state for a full-time presidential run halfway through his one term. Pretty much let himself get rolled by the Democrat legislature, but then again he had sounded like one of them when he had tried for the senate years earlier. Romneycare was his one big ‘accomplishment’ because it was going to be the centerpiece of his presidential run. Instead it is making the healthcare situation in MA worse month by month by month.
The stupid crack about college grads won't vote for her, is patently ridiculous and in spades! It's als damned class warfare and the height of stupidity. OTOH, I know some people who didn't graduate from college who are far better read and far and away more knowledgeable than those with Masters and PHDs !
Rove was on with Greta tonight and whilst he wasn't exactly singing Sarah's praises, he was giving her a lot of props; especially when he said that she does things her own way and doesn't "need" to do things ( i.e. raise money ) the old fashioned way. And he's right about her........for a change.
Everything that Palin has been doing, especially lately, has been brilliant! The bus trip and the movie are a way around the MSM, the pundits, and the damned elitists.
For any one reading this post out there in FReeper land ... you now get a measure of this man.

Yea I believe gallup because it also matches personal experience with friends and coworkers. One military contract I worked my boss was a AF Academy grad and went to football games. Another guy was a retired E8 and when we asked him about AF he said “why would I root for a bunch of Officers?”
So I realized that even that we should all be on the same team that personal background still rules our thinking.
It’s not about being better or worse than anyone but if you feel inferior about yourself that will carry over.
Palin will either be the next president, or there won’t be a republican president in this century.
OP courtesy ping to #110...
I have a MBA with national honors, have been an adjunct professor at local university, a senior officer in a $400 million corporation and currently an entrepreneur representing business partners in Europe and Far East.
So cease with your stupid drivel on blue collar vs. white collar - typical leftwing nut talk.
It is defenders of the Constitution vs RINO socialists/progressives and their RomneyCare.
PALIN/West 2012
Simple. Effective... I like it!
I despise Romney. They really are arrogant a-holes in the mold of 0bama. Entertaining to have Mitt describe Mittcare.
please spare me the bs
