After a long day of public appearances, President Obama and US First Lady Michelle were treated to a state banquet at Buckingham Palace, hosted by the Queen tonight. The star-studded banquet saw 171 guests arrive, including Tom Hanks, Kevin Spacey and Tim Burton, who dined on lamb, roast potatoes and vanilla Charlotte. Also at Her Majestys banquet in honour of the Obamas were David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Boris Johnson.
Cheers! The Queen toasts the Obama's visit before they sit down to a dinner of lamb, roast potatoes and vanilla Charlotte
Former Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown also attended, as did Ed Miliband, Richard Branson and Helena Bonham Carter.
Hollywood actor Hanks sat next to Ffion Hague, the wife of the Foreign Secretary, while Kevin Spacey was beside Sophie, the Countess of Wessex wife of Prince Edward.

Every President in modern history has had a state dinner with the Queen. You guys are a laugh not knowing or understand that this is status quo. This is one of the aspects to being President. Some of you seriously need to read up on history.

Anything for a free meal.

These are formal, ceremonial affairs. We want them to come off without "news" happening.
Everyone looks best when they play their respective parts correctly.
If everyone did so then no one is owed an apology or explanation and we can move on to the next crisis on the agenda.

Why on earth would the Queen give a hoot about Hollywood actors? Because the Queen is an actress. This entire charade is ridiculous.

It may be status quo but is it status quo to be partying with the Queen when the heartland of you own country is getting the s...t kicked out of it. This man is the biggest POS ever in the history of this great nation.

The lavish dinner was hosted in the Palaces ballroom, where the Prince of Wales hosted the private meal for 300 on the evening of the royal wedding. Oh, that wedding that the Obamas weren't invited to.

"Why on earth would the Queen give a hoot about Hollywood actors? Because the Queen is an actress"Bravo then and good for her.
There are so few good roles for actresses of a "certain age."

If Bush had done this, the entire evening’s TV would be filled at mocking the president for partying while America suffers, and laughing at what a total fool he is for now knowing what year it is. Hussein’s a POS and a moron AND America’s biggest enemy thanks to his handlers.
