Support for former House Speaker Newt Gingrichs presidential campaign has virtually evaporated, dropping to just 3 percent among likely Republican primary voters, a new IBOPE Zogby poll reveals.
Thats down from 7 percent in a May 6-9 poll, meaning Gingrich has lost more than half his support in the new poll conducted May 20-23.
Asked to choose from among 13 possible GOP presidential candidates in 2012, poll respondents chose eight Republicans ahead of Gingrich, including several who, unlike Newt, have not announced their candidacy: Herman Cain (19 percent), Chris Christie (16 percent), Mitt Romney (11 percent), Ron Paul (9 percent), Sarah Palin (6 percent), Michele Bachmann (5 percent), Tim Pawlenty (4 percent), and Mitch Daniels (4 percent).

Neut should get out now and give use his campaign money to fund ads to try to counter the damage he has caused with his fat mouth.
And I didn’t even get to shake his clammy, manicured, dishpan hand.
Newt:
Just. Go. Away.
Thanks.
Oh, and take Mitt witcha.

He’s Dead Jim!
What’s equally exciting about this data is how well Cain is doing.
Hannity is utterly flabbergasted...
I feel your pain, Noot.
I know. I was so looking forward to seeing a ring from Tiffany’s for the first time in my life.
*Evil Grin*
LOL!!!
priceless....
I have friends who just adore Newt....(I live here in Cobb County, GA- Newt’s stomping grounds)
Both Newt and Hannity are posers....
I saw Newt on CNBC this morning.. he was great...to late...he may make the rest preach Reaganomics..
I met Newt a little over a year ago— had a breakfast meeting with him...
I must admit I was surprised. To his credit, he actually entered the room- and made sure to stop and shake everyone’s hand- everyone! it wasn’t a quick obligatory shake...it was a nice hand shake. He actually focused on each person, one at a time, with full attention...so they were long, well-done, obligatory shakes- LOL!
That impressed me about him.
But no way do I trust the man, like the man, let alone willing to vote for the man.....I just plain don’t like him...
Newt wants America 1994 and Obama wants Israel 1967.
Neither is going to work.
What worked for America in 1994 won’t work now. Why? The economy of America 1994 was ripe for robust growth in the coming 10+ years.
1994: pre-amazon.com, pre-eBay, pre-tradingstocksonline, .... pre-prettymucheverything.
IMO, until politicians call for, i.e., INSIST, a massive entitlement overhaul, the fiscal and monetary death spiral will continue unabated.
In the end few, if any, are winning. Instead, what we have are some people losing at a less rapid pace than others.
