The New York Police sent the test results to French authorities on Sunday where they allegedly confirmed the trace. The results are expected to be made public shortly.

Apparently this DSK guy used the same “service” as “Client #9” Elliot Spitzer.
They sent over a woman and she said that she would NEVER go back - the second time they sent over a woman she said that she would NEVER go back - and they they should NEVER send another woman to this guy.
Apparently a couple thousand dollars wasn't enough for even a professional to put up with what this guy wanted to do to them.
The maid service at a cheap hotel may well moonlight as prostitutes. At a five star hotel at 3,000 a night? Not likely. Far more likely that a couple thousand dollar call girl is going to be called to that room.
But people tend to believe what they want to believe.

....his claim it was consensual may have been the truth up until he either got rough or didn’t pay her what he said he would. I had a chat with a guy who had taught legal defense strategy, and he said that he had a hard time coming up with any plausible defense story. He said, "How about a case of mistaken identity--he called an escort service for some kinky scenario, but the maid showed at the wrong time and he made an honest (ahem) mistake.?"
