Your comments remind me of the brilliant Mozart opera “The Marriage of Figaro,” in which the plot involves the master (a Count) of Figaro demanding to sleep with his fiance. The librettist (I forget his name) was sent on the run for the revolutionary idea that this was immoral. Thanks for reminding me - great art always tells the truth!
