US presidential candidate Herman Cain is trying to recover from an embarassing stumble over the question of the Palestinian Right of Return on Sunday.
“Right of Return?,” Cain blankly asked twice in response to being questioned about his position on the vital issue on FOX News Sunday. The second or two of deafening silence that lasted before host Chris Wallace repeated “The Palestinian Right of Return” to the Republican hopeful seemed to last forever.

Yes, I know she is the author, but Nathanial Brandon did a lot to publicize here philosophy. This was 40 years ago. I was not aware the jweekly.com was a pro Palistinian site as the writer was talking about synagogues, mitzvahs and the like. The site I mentioned at Comment #101 called Palestine Facts, did not seem at all pro Palestine. I did not read any of the other articles listed. The article said really nasty things about the Grand Mufti, and the anti-semitic British who helped him get his start. Did you read the whole article? Please do, and then tell me if you think it is pro Palestine
Well you are conflating several issues with the one extant issue of the so called right of return and they are non-sequitors at best.
But really have nothing to do with the subject matter of the post.
There is no comparison to Jewish, Israeli or Sharia law.
Sharia law is a purely an evil of subjugation while the other two are negotiated positions.
In 1948, the British pulled out leaving the Jews will very scant defense capability. Surrounding Arabs, with the Grand Mufti playing a significant role intimidated Palestinian Arabs into fleeing the scene. Amazingly, the Jews won, something I applauded at the time. Since the Arabs had abandoned their homes, the Jews were not eager to have them back. Everything got very nasty with various Arab organizations/countries, and Jewish organizations like the Hagana, Irgun, and Stern Gang mixing it up. Then the 1967 war happened and the Israelis again kicked butt. After a while I came to the conclusion that this mess is going to go on for a long while and my attention went on to other things like raising a family. I also concluded that the Arab countries had basically hung the Palestinians out to dry and to use as a scapegoat and anti-Israeli rallying point. When I discovered just now that the Grand Mufti was Yassar Arafat's father, things made a lot more sense. By now, most of the Arabs who ran away in 1948 are dead. As a political gesture, it might make sense for Israel to let a few come back.

That is the root of their so called “right of return.” Maybe they should let some very, very old AUTHENIC refugees back into their country.
However, the Palestinians claim that there are 5 million refugees.
What do you think would happen if the “right of return” was implemented?
One last thing, there are many arab muslims who are Israeli citizens, and their lives are much more free than any other arabs in the middle east. When Israel is attacked with bombs and mortars, the Israelis don’t care if the injured are arab or Israeli. They treat them all the same.
I’m hopeful that your heart has changed towards the Israelis.

My heart toward Israel has been the same since the 1967 war when I was very glad they won. My sadness for what the Jewish people have suffered has been the same since at the age of 8 I saw the terrible concentration camp and mass grave photos in Life Magazine in 1946.
My feelings towards Israel were cemented when I was 12, after watching a documentary on Adolf Eichmann.
I hope you no longer put them on equal footing with the Palestinians.
Israel can’t afford that.
I have no idea where you ever got the idea that I equated Israelis and Palestinians. I have always admired the way that Israel has worked and made the desert bloom.
