She made history by becoming the first woman to anchor the evening news solo... She made history alright. Question is will ABC learn from this "history".

The article was extremely selective even for the MSM’s cheerleader corps.
Let us look at the reported numbers:
Katie Couric started as CBS evening news anchor 13 Sept 2006 with 13 million viewers.
Katie Couric had less than 5 million viewers four years later (5 Aug 2010).
Her sustained losses averaged over a million viewers per year. Since the network's ability to generate ad revenue is based on viewership Katie cost CBS a ton of money with no end in sight.
Kind of explains why she is being moved.
