We have families who claim they cannot afford to pack a sandwich for their child to take to school. We have many families who live paycheck to paycheck. A $50 lightbulb?? Many people will just do without.

$3 CFL - 100 Watt equivalent - 26 Watts actual. That’s what most people will buy, not the $50 LED - 100 Watt equivalent - 10-15 watts actual.
Off topic, but do you believe there is actually any family who could not reduce some expenditure ... cigarettes, for example, or beer, or cable, or the electricity to run the big-screen tv ... and buy lunch supplies for their children?
That's what the elitists intend. Make everyday "luxuries" like lightbulbs so expensive that the average person just does without. This makes the elitist that much more special when they can afford those "luxuries" that used to be commonplace.

Got an e-mail from a mom this AM asking for a gas card to get to Childrens Hospital from out of town. Her child has to have regular visits to Childrens Hospital to check his Cancer remission. Our government is insane and has to be replaced for allowing such outlandish things to come upon the people of the United States of America.
