Donald Trump is not running for president.
"After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the Presidency," Trump said in a statement Monday. "This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country," the real estate mogul and reality show star continued.

If people eliminate a candidate for consideration based on irrelevant criteria such as having a supermodel wife, then I don’t think it is a stretch to say this county is going down because people are stupid.
Not much of a surprise. When the first rumors started it sounded like a joke. He’s no conservative and would question him even being a Republican.

I am not a Trump for President fan, but, as Rush puts it, I would vote for Elmer Fudd if he got the Republican Party nomination. That said, I must give the Donald credit for holding Barry Dunham’s feet to the fire and having the guts to shout over the sycophantic lamestream media.

I know folks will give me a hard time over this, but I half-expected McCain to be back in it, saying the American public now knows he would have been better.
I know, I know..., but this guy’s ego is mammoth. Look at the way he flaps him gums on issues of the day, totally unrelated to his own tasks as Senator.
Of course backing Obama on a number of issues hasn’t helped him any. Thank heaven!
Give it up. Trump had no bearing on that. You got snookered by a flim-flam man.

Really? You seem offended that I insinuated Trump “trumped” Obama. So here you go. Here’s your chance to defend your boy Barack.
Tell us how your man (Barry) was the hero of the century in killing OBL. And make us believe that Trump had nothing to do with this. While your at it - tell of Obama’s greatness in taking out Osama so as to not interfere with the Royal Wedding.

They're not even in the way.
The only way Newt is in the way, is as a tripping hazard. The man has no chance -- his candidacy is an exercise in narcissism. He's Clinton without the charm; Obama without the melanin.
As for Romney .... well, the man has had the field pretty much to himself for a long time, and has failed (like everybody else) to get big-name/big-money support for his campaign. There's something about him that gives him a very real "ick" factor. He's going nowhere.
They're not without their uses, though. Both of them are articulate and can be engaging speakers at times. It would be good if by their presence they could force real debate on various important issues. But the silliness of modern presidential politics is such that I won't hold my breath.
I knew this announcement was coming the moment he started throwing “F” bombs in public speeches left and right a few weeks ago.
I just hope he does not change his mind and then go third party...
