At approximately 8:36 a.m. a male identified as Cody Nathaniel Willcoxon was seen at the entrance gate at Fort Leonard Wood with an AK-47. After being questioned by FLW Military Police the suspect fled the scene, and was pursued by members of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Dept. and St. Robert Police Department in a silver passenger car. The suspect then began to shoot at the pursuing officers, and he headed east on I-44. Spike strips were set up on I-44 which resulted in the suspect exiting at the Rolla 184 Exit. The Suspect then began shooting at Rolla Police Officers and members of the Phelps County Sheriff's Dept. as they pursued him. The suspect then drove through several areas in Rolla where he continued shooting at officers. The suspect vehicle stopped near McNutt Hall at Missouri University of Science and Technology near University Drive/Hwy 63. The suspect fled from his vehicle on foot with a long rifle. A perimeter was established by Law Enforcement Officers around McNutt Hall and the building was cleared by law enforcement officers.
Several minutes later the suspect broke into an occupied residence in the 1000 block of Crinoidal Ct. The suspect demanded the keys to the resident's car and stole it. He later fled the scene in the stolen car and since that time neither he nor the car has been located. The stolen car is identified as:
Stolen Vehicle 2003 Ford Taurus Charcoal Gray in color MO License ROLLAB (The license plate is a Rotary Club International personalized license plate) The vehicle has several stickers on the back window (American Flag, Air Evac, and Rotary Club International)
Ah....terrorist disguised as a Rotary Club member.....
Multiple felonies, now some more, most likely!
He evades capture by Pulaski County Sheriffs Dept.
He evades capture by St. Robert Police Dept.
He evades capture by Rolla Police Dept.
He evades capture by Phelps County Sheriffs Dept
Perp flees his vehicle at McNutt Hall. Officers surround McNutt Hall, establish a perimeter and clear the building.
But, the perp wasnt in McNutt Hall. He busts in on some homeowners in their residence, steals their car, gets away undetected, and now noone knows where he is.
Im feeling more secure.

Don’t worry, the authorities are in charge. There is no need for you to be armed.
Good to hear. What'd they do with all the highway traffic that used to use the base? That, IIRC, was the main reason the base was open when I was there.
You can’t trust those Rotarians!.............
None of those things would surprise you if you were familiar with that part of Missouri.
My wife has a bunch of kin down there - the Clampetts are sophisticated compared to that bunch of inbreds. LOL
You should since you do not live in the vicinity. :-)
Worse than that, Ft. Leonard Wood is the Military Police School (among other things).
They may be contract security, but are you sure they aren't DoD Police?
Isn’t there a military prison there? Wasn’t that where they were taking that traitor, Manning (Wikileaks guy) so he wouldn’t be tortured so much? Is it called “the brig” or is that only for certain branch/es of the service?
You’re thinking of Ft. Leavenworth, next state over (KS).
Oh, yes, my bad. Thanks.
It reads like Standard Plot #6 for Cookie-Cutter Cop Shows....
The keystone cops of the 20’s would be more like it.
One thing they are good at is catching speeders.
Thanks, glad to know it.
The school has removed the emergency notification and the link to the site now shows their normal content for the page.
How dare he try to mount an assault on my old basic training base!!! Well, I oughta run down there and help them get the guy!!! Now, where’d I put that package of Depends!!!!
