Ron Paul is set to officially launch his presidential campaign Friday morning, a Paul source told POLITICO.

The Texas congressman will make his announcement from New Hampshire during the 7:00 a.m. hour of ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Paul is then scheduled to speak at 10:00 a.m. in Exeter, part of a two-day swing through New Hampshire following a stop in Iowa. Paul will also be keynoting the Grafton County Republican Memorial dinner on Friday night.

The only thing I can see Ron Paul good for is replacing Cass Sustein as the “Regulatory Czar” as Ron would be one of the few people who would undo all of Cass’s insane work.

Fox just loves Ron Paul. Last week Chris Wallace suggested he was the father of the tea part"

Paul gets a lot of love from Republicans except on this site where attacks rival those against Obama. Libertarian ideas are not my cup of tea but the personal hate is puzzling.

A completely futile effort. It'll make for interesting debates though which, IMO, is his real goal. After all of his fruitless past endeavors he should know he'll never win.
I say this partly because the Republican Establishment Party (REP) wouldn't stand for it. And they'll try to sabotage Palin again or anybody else who runs who doesn't fit their ideal of what a candidate is supposed to be.
The political right will nominate another McLame candidate.

"If he is an Agency Terminator. I am for him."

That's the good news, the bad news is he's in favor of allowing the Victory Mosque to be built at ground zero, if that matters to anyone.

I like Ron Paul’s views on limited government. Problem is, his statements on Israel are just anti-semitic code for “blame the Jews.” Will Pat Buchanan be his running mate? Paul will sell out our only reliable Middle East ally just as fast as the Muslim Marxist.

"personal hate is puzzling"

Yes it is, Paul is very right on a great many issues, unfortunately he is very wrong on a few very important issues like dealing with enemies that have taken up arms against the USA.

Still hoping Sara gets in or maybe Allen West or some other good conservative.

Ron Pauls claim to fame is running for POTUS in ‘88 strictly to bash Reagan. He referred to him as a total failure. He also was a student of Murry Rothbard, a radical libertarian who is a full out Reagan hater like you have never seen.

http://www.lewrockwell.com/rothbard/rothbard60.html

Libertarians are not anything like a Conservatives. There is no reason to respect this man. So he has an economic issue or two that we agree with? So he is pro life? The rest of it is totally dangerous garbage. Just listen to his answer on waterboarding during the recent debate. He is worried to do that because he has already determined the Chinese are going to take us over and he is scared they will use that on us. A real pro American guy here, eh? Like the Chinese care about human rights and not using real tortures like cutting hands off.

Paul doesn’t get love from any real GOP’ers. Look at his supporters. College kids and malcontents. A good number of Rats as well. His polls are in the toilet. No rational person supports this guy once they look at what his policies actually are.

” Libertarian ideas are not my cup of tea but the personal hate is puzzling.”

You want to see hate, you want to be puzzled? Just read what the Paul supporters write about Herman Cain on here.

Maybe he's like me and sees it as some kind of jihadi-roach-motel?

IMO we should be glad he is running. At least he moves some issues to the right, even if they are super Libertarian. Can anyone tell me one thing he proposes that is unconstitutional? Just asking and am not a Libertarian.

Yawn.

Another “conservative” who can’t shut his mouth long enough to realize he’s not a serious contender, and that his self-congratulatory “candidacy” will only help obama get elected.

I have libertarian leanings, but Ron Paul needs a nice cup of Shut The Hell Up.

Ron Paul is your guy for Limited Constitutional Government.

Back in 2007-2008 he was for eliminating Agencies, and I assume he still is.

I’m a Ron Paul supporter and I like Herman Cain as well.

I like Ron Paul, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain.

Do not like Mitt Magic Underwear Romney.

Anybody want a shrimp cocktail to celebrate

For some reason, spam with wild shrimp seems appropriate.

Reagan signed photos with a lot of people, it doesn't make them peas of the same pod. Paul referred to Reagan as a 'failure' and said he 'made Carter look Conservative.' I see that photo like I see this one:

Like all rules there are always acceptions, but I stand by my statement, just review several of the Herman Cain threads right here on FR and you can judge for yourself.
