President Obama doesn’t seem to have even peered out his Air Force One window to view the swelling Mississippi, a minimal show of interest for which George W. Bush was pilloried when he took a peek at the damage wrought by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. At least Bush bothered to look.
Obama is traveling today OVER the devastation being wrought by the Mississippi in order to get to events in Texas, where he will rally his Hispanic supporters with a speech on immigration in El Paso and then head to the Lone Star state’s liberal bastion of Austin for two fundraisers.
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, who spoke with reporters aboard Air Force One, was asked whether Obama had bothered to get a view from above.
“I haven’t seen him do that but I haven’t been with him for the full flight so far,” Carney said.
Well, it certainly doesn’t sound like they were on the lookout for it, and it’s clear the plane is not intentionally headed over a particularly devastated area for a look-see.

Note to Carney: next disaster, take advantage of the photo-op and get a shot of obama pretending to look out the window. Also, get a quote from him something like this: “Water is water. You see one flood, you’ve seen them all.”

I am having to count to ten every few minutes as I hear his words from yesterday being repeated on the media. Millions of everyday Americans are finding it hard to engage in productive activities, due in part to fuel prices, while this worthless Mack Daddy jets around to insult and rub faces into the dirt. While swimming out in the Quarry yesterday afternoon, I paused and looked up as a 747 slowly passed overhead. Other than AF1, I don't ever see planes that large flying into AUS. At first, despite the markings, I didn't believe that Barry would come to Austin in view of him denying Texas emergency funds and allowing the immolation of millions of acres of West Texas to contribute to Global Warming.
But this article makes sense, while denying Texas border protection and emergency funds, he is in Texas to take money out to pad his personal fortune. It takes a world class Alpha Hotel to have the gall to do that.
Plus, he came at the beginning of rush-hour, timed perfectly to screw up the Southwest's already worst traffic
Here in TX the news is pointing out that he would have had to fly over the devastated-by-wildfires areas in order to reach El Paso. The news here is that if he only looked down he would’ve seen the massive burned areas. I live in the flight path he took, and for many days I had to breathe the smoke and ash from fires that were miles from me, but in my general area.
Something else is in the our news...Rick Perry was invited to meet with Obama in El Paso on the tarmac when AF1 landed. Perry declined to travel from Austin all the way to El Paso for a “courtesy” tarmac meeting with the man who continues to attack this state at every turn.

What was wrong with meeting Perry at AUS when Barry ,joyriding AF1, came to the Sodom of the Southwest to raise money for himself at two separate fundraisers? Is this some kind of sick joke telling Perry to travel 1100 miles rather than less than ten to see the Thug?
