Two Muslim religious leaders were asked to leave a commercial airliner in Memphis - and were told it was because the pilot refused to fly with them aboard.
Masudur Rahman and another imam had already been allowed to board their Delta Connection flight from Memphis, Tennessee, to Charlotte, North Carolina before they were asked to get off the plane.
'It's racism and bias because of our religion and appearance and because of misinformation about our religion.' Mr Rahman said. 'If they understood Islam, they wouldn't do this.'

“’If they understood Islam, they wouldn’t do this.’”
They obviously understand it quite well.
Let the law suits begin!
Still, I’d have cheered the pilot.
Throw the terrorist off the plane.
We know it all too well.
Muslim is not a race.
I hope the other passengers applauded the decision.
I got put off a plane once. Said it was overbooked. I bet that is what happened.
Didn’t this happen once before?
Can anyone believe any story that originates out of the UK as being reported properly and accurately?
It's racism and bias because of our religion and appearanceAnd probably had nothing to do with them yelling 'Aloha Ackbar', either.
When you are on my plane you must respect MY religion, see how this works?
Kudos to the Delta Captain! I only hope Delta backs him up and does not cave in to CAIR. He IS the ULTIMATE authority aboard his flights.
If they don’t like flying on American aircraft, tell CAIR or Al-Qaeda to start their own damn airline and see how much business they get. At least they won’t have to submit to TSA groping or radiating their genitals. And they will still be able to choose between the “Smoking Section” or “Bomb Section” which should make them happy!
If they understood Islam, and agreed, they would be terrorists too.
Catch a Camel, better mode of travel
I just heard a report about this incident on WCBS News Radio in NYC. It seems like the two guys who were booted off the plane were headed for a conference on...(drum roll)
prejudice against Muslims. Now that’s irony that would make O. Henry jealous.
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: Mr. Seinfeld?
JERRY: Yes?
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: I’m sorry, but the pilot has asked that you leave this plane.
JERRY: What?
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: Apparently, he has some sort of problem with you.
KATE: I’m not surprised. I really let him have it, Jerry. He has no business being in your audience if you didn’t want him there.
JERRY: I didn’t care.
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: Well, now the pilot doesn’t want you on his plane.
JERRY: He can’t just throw me off the plane!
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: Yes he can, if he has cause to believe a passenger will be a disturbance.
JERRY: But I’m not a disturbance!
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: Well, apparently you are disturbing him, sir.
Make it SOP for these serpents!!!
They might have wanted to wait until the plane was in the air before they threw the imamns off. That would have been a nice touch.
