Herman Cain said on Thursday that President Barack Obama was right not to release the Osama bin Laden death photos because it would have been a distraction.

"I think all it would do is to basically fuel a lot of unnecessary discussions and, most importantly, unnecessary distractions," Cain said.
Calling the death of the 9/11 mastermind a "major achievement on behalf of the United States of America," Cain said the country should now change its focus to other issues, including the economy and national security as a whole.
Cain's comments came in a Fox News interview ahead of his appearance at the first Republican presidential debate in Greenville, S.C.
I generally like Cain, but he’s wrong on this.
Cain is wrong. Until I see the photos (many different angles) and read the medical evidence, I have my doubts. The BHO admin can not be trusted.
Obama won’t release it until we get to 2012 in the run up to the November elections.
Maybe get back to the problem of buying oil from people that hate us....especially when we have enough resources here. I had to put an extra 5 in the tank this week.
Well, since Politico is reporting this, I will take it with a grain of salt. After all, Herman is appearing in the debate tonight.
He is undergoing enhanced interrogation at a remote location at this very moment.
Why would the US military kill the Rosetta Stone of Islamic terrorism?
Why cut off one head when you can cut them all off?
Actually Herman, unnecessary discussions are being fueled by Obama NOT releasing the photos. You have it completely backwards.
I don’t need the photos. They’re the ball Obama wants us to chase so he doesn’t have to answer any questions about what the hell really happened.
I’ll wait until they’re on Wikileaks.
Well, one more cadidate to cross off my list!
RE: Well, one more cadidate to cross off my list!
Keep this up, if some favorite candidate happens to disagree with you on at least one issue you’ll soon find nobody to vote for.
He’s wrong, and the photos will come out anyway, sooner or later.
Cain has it bassakwards.
Sigh....
And the headline is a bit misleading: Cain agreed with the decision but he did not “praise” Obama for it.
He and I email some and I told him he was going to catch hell for this from the base and the tea party folks.
Herman, if you think we would have “unnecessary discussions” by releasing the pix, you just stick around and watch what happens from NOT releasing them.
Actually, it would have proven that they, indeed, got bin Laden!
Herman Cain is just a name out of the blue to me. This is the first time I’ve heard him air his opinion of anything, and it is his praising of Barack Obama.
Totally.
I call.
Show your hand Bambi...or fold.
