Al Sharpton: Bush Declined Obama’s Ground Zero Invite Since He’s ‘Clearly Embarrassed’

Al Sharpton, in a radio interview yesterday, praised President Obama’s “focused and laser mentality” for achieving the goal of killing of Osama bin Laden. Not only because he he did “what George Bush was unable to do,” but also because Obama delivered on his own personal promise. Yet when the topic turned to President Bush, Sharpton’s praise abruptly ended.

Bush wants nothing to do with Obozo taking all the credit for killing osama, and not giving the Bush team any credit.

Is Osama dead? He is also suspicious of the story that Bin Laden is dead; thinks he's alive in US custody. Doesn't believe he was dumped in the ocean because it doesn't agree with the version of events he was told. He is just relaying what he was told, not claiming any inside information.

He had to know he was giving legitimacy to Dear Leader's "victory lap" for crass, political purposes, yet could not bring himself to come up with some excuse?

President Bush has nothing to be embarrassed about. His policies are the ones that led our military to Bin Ladin. Obama and Sharpton are the ones who should be embarrassed. I miss President Bush.

Bush would be lucky if Obama merely used the occasion to take 100% of the credit—he could very well use it to try to humiliate Bush in front of a world-wide audience. Remember how he trashed the Supreme Court at the State of the Union address, and insulted Paul Ryan at an event recently.
