It is unconfirmed and gruesome...and some say its been reuted but I have not seen that yet. But it looks like the real thing to me...massive head wound above his left eye
These same people had no problem releasing Abu Graib pictures, repeatedly showing them, looped for months on end....

That one looks just a bit too “clean” for me. What kind of bullet gouges a four-inch furrow right across the head in a semispherical pattern and exposes the brain without damaging it in any perceivable way?

After watching our citizens jumping to their deaths from burning buildings, beheadings on TV, and our troop’s horrific injuries hunting down the piece of crap, I think we can handle viewing a terrorist with a hole in his head.
I watched 3000 people burn to death, jump from 100 stories to their death or die in engineered plane crashes. I think I can take seeing their murderer photographed with less than a complete skull.
Two explanations for all this gruesome talk, at the same time they pretend they don’t want to release gruesome photos.
1. Obama never can make up his mind about anything. So he keeps kicking it down the road.
2. They want to keep the idea of finally nailing Bin Ladin alive, both as a way to get people to forget that fake birth certificate, and as a way to play it for propaganda purposes, hoping to get Obie’s poll numbers up. Bush couldn’t finish the job, but Obama could.
But I doubt that will work.
Some could possibly leak out,...but I really doubt it.
The only people around the body were military. If there was a ‘real’ leak, then it could be easily traced to the chopper or the CV, carrier(ship).
Whomever would do it, would be in Leavenworth for most of the rest of his life.
