After watching our citizens jumping to their deaths from burning buildings, beheadings on TV, and our troop’s horrific injuries hunting down the piece of crap, I think we can handle viewing a terrorist with a hole in his head.
I watched 3000 people burn to death, jump from 100 stories to their death or die in engineered plane crashes. I think I can take seeing their murderer photographed with less than a complete skull.
Two explanations for all this gruesome talk, at the same time they pretend they don’t want to release gruesome photos.
1. Obama never can make up his mind about anything. So he keeps kicking it down the road.
2. They want to keep the idea of finally nailing Bin Ladin alive, both as a way to get people to forget that fake birth certificate, and as a way to play it for propaganda purposes, hoping to get Obie’s poll numbers up. Bush couldn’t finish the job, but Obama could.
But I doubt that will work.
So if that report is true, the Italian picture above must be faked, just on that basis.
I don't think the US gov't should release any photos of the dead Osama.

Does anyone share my sense that the CIA and military presented Obama with a situation he would have preferred to ignore? Had Obama tried to avoid this opportunity it would have ended his Presidency, so he was forced to act.

1. Americans are not that sensitive, we see worse as road kill, so do our children who rubberneck to view the dead animal, and say "oh look mommy". They also see worse and play worse on their video games.
2. We paid a big price for those photos and videos. First and foremost, in the 10 years since 9/11, 3000 American lives on that day and about 5000 more of our FINEST MEN AND WOMEN, and the $1 Trillion dollars it has cost us taxpayers to hunt him down, plus all the BRIBE MONEY/AID paid to Pakistan to hide him. Personally, I don’t care whether they release them or not. I trust the military reports on this event. But you’d think the Obama folks would have decided this during their many months of planning since OBL’s location became known, but apparently not. Ridiculous for this indecision to be a news story for days and days.

Either of the two pictures posted so far in this thread, fake or not, are no more gruesome or disturbing than scenes from the TV show “Bones”. If that type of thing disturbs anyone then they should not view it. I would have personally loved to view a live transmission of the raid and takedown; it would have been hard to suppress my urge to cheer at the moment they blew his brains out.
