WASHINGTON (AP) -- A U.S. official says Osama bin Laden was shot above his left eye, blowing away part of his skull.
The precision kill shot was delivered by a member of Navy's elite SEAL Team Six during a pre-dawn raid Monday on bin Laden's hideout in Pakistan.

I have not seen an explanation as to why, when this first was reported, was everyone saying that it happened days, maybe even a week ago? How did that get started? Anyone know?

Didn’t they have to do re-constructive surgery on Uday and Qusay Hussein in order to identify them? Why not do a similar operation on OBL for the same reason?
Doesn’t sound like a precision kill shot...Apparently tyhey don’t watch NCIS.
Maybe it DID happen a week ago, and they had to change the story because Obama used the word “today” at least twice in a message that was either programmed incorrectly into his teleprompter or was recorded days or weeks ago in anticipation of an unspecified date when his “live announcement” would be staged.
Nothing that a little silly putty couldn’t make right,
