Tickerguy Flips A-A [A-A-K-x-x Board] (Birth Certificate)
The Market Ticker ^ | May 2, 2011 | Karl Denninger

Posted on 05/02/2011 11:01:22 AM PDT by kiryandil

You knew I had pocket rockets, right?  How often have you seen me come up with something on The Ticker without a fairly-decent set of evidence behind what I had to say?

It's time to call the curtain on this game and then go back to economics.

Find me one typewriter in the world, anywhere, that can perform kerning and I will believe this "certificate" is real.

For the uninitiated, "kerning" is the process of manipulating the spacing of letters to make the appearance more pleasing.  Here's an example from this Ticker itself:

http://market-ticker.org/cgi-ticker/akcs-www?get_gallerynr=1595

This process, of course, requires that you know what the next letter is.  With a computer this is pretty easy, since the computer can retroactively go back and adjust, and it also can typeset the current letter with knowledge of what the previous one was.

A typewriter, on the other hand, is a mechanical device.  It does not know what the next letter is that you will type, nor does it know what the last letter was that you typed. It thus has a typeface that always leaves physical space between the boundary of each character and the impression.  It has to, lest letters run together and look like utter crap.

Typesetters (offset printing machines and similar) perform kerning - in fact, it's part of typesetting.  But typewriters do not, cannot, and never have.

This, of course, is why the typed Birth Certificate has kerned text in it.

http://market-ticker.org/cgi-ticker/akcs-www?get_gallerynr=1598

Oh, and before you say "that's an artifact of what the White House did with their automated process", here's the same thing on the AP copy, which is a simple picture scanned in, with no post-processing of materiality I can detect and no layers.

http://market-ticker.org/cgi-ticker/akcs-www?get_gallerynr=1597

Oh darn.

Incidentally this is not the only example, as I show in the video.

To refute this point you must come up with a typewriter that contains a flux capacitor and thus is capable of accurately predicting the future.

I'm sure there will be people who argue some sort of explanation (e.g. "sloppy carriage") for these results.  But at the end of the day, here's the point: Exactly how many of these "explanations" have to line up in this way for everything to be on the up-and-up with this document?  Each of these explanations that has been proffered - tab stops, damage to the background, the low number of layers from automated processing that just happen to all be on things that would be important to change if you were forging something, the appearance of kerning, misalignment of certain fields .vs. others and more - has a probability associated with it as random chance.

How many of these random probability events have to fall exactly the right way for the explanation that everything is on the up and up to be valid?

Remember, in 1961 nobody knew this person was anyone but a random half-black baby.  There was absolutely nothing remarkable about him that would distinguish him from the other kids born in Hawaii - or anywhere else - that year.  There was no reason for his birth certificate to be made any more "pretty" than any other kid's, or for any sort of special treatment.  Nobody knew, absent a time machine, that this person would be President in 2008.

What are the odds, folks, that it would all line up as the Obama supports claim by simple random chance?

Now about that forensic analysis we should have done on the alleged document that allegedly is in the files at the Hawaii Registrar's office in order to see if it's really 50ish years old.....  This is the only way we are going to get the truth.  Will the American people, Congress, or someone (e.g. a judge) demand defensible truth on this topic?  We damn well should.

(I think that's my pot in the center of the table.  Would you help me push the rather-large pile of chips over here please?)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85yVkL94_BU

PS: This is exactly how Dan Rather got caught - typography that was impossible to produce using the alleged tool the "document" was created with.

I haven’t gone all the way down thread, so this may have been answered.

Remembering the typewriter before the IBM ball, the individual character levers of differing length struck into the center of the ribbon once you actively depressed the key on the keyboard.

With your stronger fingers (the basis of the qwerty layout), frequently used letters seemed to be placed on the keyboard to take advantage of stronger fingers.

Since, this is not proportional text, is it possible that a fast typist was able to strike the next key before the carriage had made it’s full movement to the next character position, thus overlapping certain characters within the string of the word???

Especially when the proficient typist was able to launch a character lever from her left hand rapidly followed by a character striked by her right hand before the full advance of the carriage.

Maybe a further review of the twins COLB for the same day, maybe the same typist, would determine whether random “kerning” was based on typist proficiency.

The issue is not whether you care that elists are laughing at you. This issue is whether or not you care that you’re being used as a tool by the elitists.

That’s why I brought it up. You should want to know the truth whether it comes from me or a fellow birther. If you’re repeating false information that the elists dumped out for your consumption to further their agenda, you’d want to stop doing that, right? I know I would.

How do you think I wised up to Polarik’s game? Somebody told me the truth. I researched it and proved it to myself. Polarik had all of FR drooling over every word, every final paper, every demonstration video. Chumps. He played us for chumps. And we ate it up.

I wasn’t a Polarik fan. Ever. Or Orly. Or any of them. Didn’t follow their “bon mots” either. I simply know Bam lies about everything and that we STILL don’t have the truth.

Buckeye, this guy is a phony. His life is a made story of some truth and mostly fiction and the press knows it. His Presidency and life story is one of the greatest cons ever perpetrated on our country. I believe NOTHING about him or from him.

I know he's a phony. His whole life is a political soap opera for the entertainment of the sleeping masses.

But you're not sleep. So when I see someone like you asleep at the wheel replaying debunked rumors, it riles me up. No one's asking you to believe anything he says or anything I say.

Just check it out for yourself.

Great work! Can you also demo how kerning is NOT in the Nordyke twins’ birth certificate. I did not see any evidence of it, but I defer to your expertise!

That explains his economics posts.

LOL! Some anonymous FReeper dude snarks on Denninger's economic acumen.

Mosey on over to his website and dazzle him with your brilliance, loudmouth. He's forgotten more about economics and computers than you'll ever know.

For my part, Denninger cured me of the eye-glazing that usually comes with an economics spiel, and of my awe of economists.

Reading the posts so far on this thread, I am struck by a few things.

First, whatever happened to the story of Abercrombie not being able to find the original, and references by journalists and others friendly to Obama to there being “embarrassing” information on the document that Obama should not be forced to release? Were they just pre-emptively scrambling for a defense? Yes, there are things that concern me with this whole issue. Was Obama’s visit to Hawaii just before the election related to him being on the ballot? What about the certifications Pelosi signed? I hope there is some good source that separates facts from rumors and is thorough in its research.

Having said all that, the state records appear to indicate that Obama was born to Anne Dunham and BHO Sr., in Hawaii. It will be very hard, in my opinion, to “impeach” a state certified form, especially given the media's clear bias for Obama.

So where does that leave us? The economy is still in the crapper, we're close to 15 trillion in debt, Obamacare is still poised to wreck the health system, illegal immigration is still out of control, the courts are being packed with liberals determined to re-write the Constitution, the homosexual agenda is advancing and Obama is pushing through agreements with foreign countries that will weaken America and destabilize the world.

I think something stinks to high Heaven about Obama’s “nativity” story. But what can we prove? And who will help us? the Republicans don't WANT for there to be any story here - I'm hoping that at least we nominate one who WANTS to be president, favors conservative principles, and can explain them to the electorate when the media will stack the deck.

I'm not sure how much more we can do on this front. My apologies to those who feel I'm giving up.

I do want a strong opposition to Obama and his programs, and it upsets me to see FReepers fighting each other when we face a tough enough task as it is.

Sorry for the long sermon. Thanks for all responses and flames in advance.

I finished high school in 1962 and I also took typing classes along with a lot of girls. We considered it something of a “crip” course at the time but in looking back I am very glad I took typing. It is something I have used a lot over the years, it is nice not to have to hunt and peck when I want to use a keyboard.

The question is not whether he lies but does he ever tell the truth? I am beginning to believe he never does. He makes me think of something I used to hear often, “He would rather climb a tree and lie than stand on the ground and tell the truth.”

He has to lie in order to accomplish his goal. The fantasy is necessary or he wouldn’t have had a chance.

We get quite a bit of Karl reading just by watching freepers post Market Ticker stories.

I’m not anonymous to me. So as long as I’m not telling YOU to ignore Karl, my anonymity really doesn’t play into the equation.

I find my life is much happier when I mostly ignore people like Karl, and believe me there are a lot of people like Karl, and in my life I’ve seen quite a few, and believed a few too many.

Could someone here help me with these questions:

1. ORIGINAL: Is the original in a bound book like former health director Fukino said, or is it on microfilm or microfiche? That is, is the long form birth certificate that Obama displayed at his April 27, 2011 press conference taken from a certificate stored in a bound book, or was it taken from microfilm or microfiche?

2. NORDYKE TWINS: They were born one day after Obama on Aug. 5, but they have lower numbers.

3. Would the Nordyke twins' certificates be in the same bound book that Fukino said Obama's long form birth certificate was in?

4. I am having trouble understanding how they transferred Obama's long form birth certificate image from a bound book to a piece of paper that was sent to Obama. Did the certificate have anything on its back?

5. Could someone explain to a non-technical, average computer user like me how they did it?

6. For instance, if the certificate is in a bound book, how did they lay the book in a scanner? What type of scanner did they use? Is the scanner like one people have at home except much bigger?

7. If, for instance, Hawaii officials allowed reporters to examine the certificate in the bound book, what color would it be?

8. MICROFILM: The long form birth certificate seems to be bent downward on the left side. Does this mean that the image came from microfilm or a bound book?

9, If it came from a bound book, why isn't the certificate arranged and attached in the book in a way so that a person could easily slip it out of the book to scan it? Why do you have to carry the WHOLE book to the scanner, when one piece of paper would do?

10. GREEN BACKGROUND: Why is there a green background?

11. June 2007: Date stamped on Obama's short form we see on the FactCheck site.

12. June 2007: Why did Obama order a new Hawaii birth certificate in June 2007? Did he simply lose his long form in 2007 or earlier? People lose birth certificates all the time, but I find it strange that the President of the United States got so careless with his long form birth certificate that he lost it. And if Trump had not forced Obama to order a new long form birth certificate in April 2011, then Obama would still be without a long form birth certificate today.

13. Stanley signature: I have a problem believing that Obama's mother signed the document because of the way "Stanley" is clumsily placed in parenthesis above the main signature. It looks to me as if the person who signed it forgot the name "Stanley" and clumsily tried to add it to the main body of he signature, but for some unknown reason put it in parenthesis, even though "Stanley" was Obama's mother's legal first name. That is, why not just write "Stanley" WITHOUT parenthesis, because the parenthesis makes it look as if the name "Stanley" does not really belong there.

14. Stanley signature: I have looked at several signatures of Obama's mother on the internet, and it seems that she usually wrote out "Stanley" or used "S" when signing documents.

15. Stanley name: Maybe when Obama's mother was growing up she came to resent the Stanley first name because it is normally a boy's name, but it looks like when it came to signing documents, she had no hesitation in signing "Stanley."

16. So, as I said, Obama's mother's signature just does not look right to me. To be honest, it looks like someone else signed it.

I don’t want to split hairs, but only point out that the simple argument about typewriters not kerning is not absolutely true.

Typewriters do not kern. What you are talking about was a typesetter, not a typewriter. Typewriters can have a proportionally spaced font but they do not kern. Liberals can "pick" all they want but typewriters do not kern.

Did I miss another staff meeting?

I'll say...open bar, free lap dances, birther dunk tank, a Spinal Tap tribute band, an eligibility merry-go-round, DIY BC craft booth, Orly Taitz "legal briefs" (nudge,nudge...) auction conducted by an Inspector Smith impersonator and Polarik performed kerning stunts on an IBM Selectric...and we voted you off the island...until we realized, with your name, you fill some sort of minority quota...that, and we're not on an island.

I’m also wondering about the hammers. It’s possible that some were bent closer to the next letter.

However, look at “Honolulu” and see the curve of the “n” in relation to the curve of the “o” that follows.

I have zero faith that the US Supreme Court will make any ruling on NBC which would endanger Obama's presidency, so I see the entire BC/NBC/Hi/Kenya issue to be rather pointless at this time.

Ok, let's see if I understand you. So, say the sheriff's favorite nephew was out driving drunk and wrecked, killing your brother. Well, knowing the cops and the judge are all crooked, it's rather pointless demanding justice be served. Is that about it in a nutshell?

The State of Hawaii has vouched for the document and its provenance.

Have they ? They vouched that they sent him a document but have they vouched for what he posted online ?
