The question is not whether he lies but does he ever tell the truth? I am beginning to believe he never does. He makes me think of something I used to hear often, “He would rather climb a tree and lie than stand on the ground and tell the truth.”
He has to lie in order to accomplish his goal. The fantasy is necessary or he wouldn’t have had a chance.
