CAIRO (AP) — Muslim clerics said Monday that Osama bin Laden's burial at sea was a violation of Islamic tradition that may further provoke militant calls for revenge attacks against American targets.
Although there appears to be some room for debate over the burial — as with many issues within the faith — a wide range of Islamic scholars interpreted it as a humiliating disregard for the standard Muslim practice of placing the body in a grave with the head pointed toward the holy city of Mecca.
Sea burials can be allowed, they said, but only in special cases where the death occurred aboard a ship.

He did not deserve a proper burial he was a mass murderer. That’s why we shot him in the head. Duh.
If someone wanted to give him a good burial, THEY should have killed him.

I believe that the alqueda compound was the target...with top dogs...but not necessarily Osama. Obama just got lucky.
And I'll bet it wasn't our bullets that took him out. Hence......burial at sea!!
Wait until they found out the crew took turns pissing on the body before it was thrown to the sharks.

I believe Saddam Hussein was famous for lowering his enemies into a plastic shredder, bagging the remains and then dumping the shredded remains into the sea.
Didn’t hear a whole lot of Muslim outrage over this.
If Saddam only hated you a ‘little’ you were blessed to be lowered headfirst into the shredder. If he hated you ‘a lot’; then you were lowered feet first.
Again, a wonderously silent Muslim outrage.
One thing is certain, the more Americans learn about this the less they'll be inclined to credit this administration. Obama is experiencing all the benefit of this he'll ever get right now.
Like his death wouldn't?
I fully expect that upon his demise, there were orders for retaliatory strikes around the world, particularly the US.
Time to stock up on more ammo.
