The killing of Usama Bin Ladin in Pakistan was was an American national vendetta.
Someone posted previously that 0bama passed on three previous opportunities to get bin Laden. One was a missile strike and the other two were ops like this.
We have to know 0bama is careless about relations with both allies and enemies. When he was a candidate he recklessly said he might invade Pakistan. Since then we have seen so much more flat-footed and ham-handed words and actions with numerous other nations. I'm waiting to hear how things are going on the street in Pakistan following this news.

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was identified by facial recognition, fingerprinting, known scars and tattoos and the U.S. military did an autopsy on him.
I imagine they did the same for Osama. Plus it is reported that they can do a DNA match with his sister. I don't know if they had a relatives' DNA sample they could match up with al-Zarqawi.

They supposedly extracted DNA from UBL and were able to analyze it in a matter of hours before they dumped him in the ocean? I thought it would take days or weeks. The whole thing stinks. Like you said...the big-eared one needed a distraction, like when Klinton blew up an aspirin factory.

The Americans took Bin Laden's body into custody after the firefight, taking it back to Afghanistan by helicopter, and confirmed his identity. His DNA matched DNA taken from a sister who had died of brain cancer in Boston.
