WASHINGTON (AFP) – Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is dead, and President Barack Obama will announce his death, nearly 10 years after the September 11 attacks in a televised address, a senior US official told AFP.
The official said on condition of anonymity that Bin Laden was dead, but did not provide details of how his death occurred.
Obama was imminently to address Americans in a highly unusual Sunday night appearance on television.

Thing is though that if Obama wanted to use this to win re election in 2012, he would have kept it hush-hush for a while.
Obama will get a temporary bump in the polls (1-2 weeks), then he will fall again as more negative economic news comes in.

ISLAMABAD – Osama bin Laden was killed in a helicopter raid .. U.S. and Pakistani officials said Monday.
Four helicopters launched the attack in the Bilal area of Abbottabad, .. One of the helicopters crashed after it apparently was hit by fire from the ground, .. no word on casualties.
.. the helicopters took off from a Pakistani air base in the north of the country.
Women and children were taken into custody during the raid, he said. He spoke on condition of anonymity ..

Frankly, I would be very comfortable watching the Republican party die. It’s a hindrance to all advancement these days. It’s enabling policies have prevented any real challenge to the Democrats dismantling our nation piece by piece.
Replace it with something that rails against the Democrats top to bottom, or watch our nation die by ten thousand cuts.
