I don't think he will receive even a hand full of votes because of this. Most will have forgotten about it, and if they keep crowing about it and trying to keep it alive during the campaign it will begin to sound very unseemly. Republicans and most all independents know who deserves credit for military and intelligence successes.

The economy and unemployment and all matters related to that will be the issues people care about.
