Tx Lands Commish Jerry Patterson opens with a few jokes before diving straight into the meat of the debate over whether a possible listing of the Dunes Sagebrush Lizard on the federal Endangered Species List would put an end to oil drilling in West Texas.
Recorded April 26, 2011 at a Permian Basin Petroleum Associated rally at the Midland Center in downtown Midland, Texas.

Thanks for the ping!
I want Perry to wear a pair of Dune Sagebrush Lizard boots to the meeting with the Fish & Wildlife Birkenstockers.
In short, Texas is ready to go to court...again.
bump
Another manufactured endangered sub-sub-species.
Standard greenie tactic. I recall a nineties article that said by the same standards the squirrels of Lafayette Square park (cross from the White House) could be described as a subspecies.
Why go to court just say goodbye fed and be done with it.Do the feds want to come to Texas and use force and cause a massive war?I don’t think so.
That would solve a lot of problems.
It sure would and it will happen sooner or later. The sooner the better.
Jerry Patterson is definitely one of the good guys.
Sounds cool, know where I could get a pair made?
I keep looking for a pair of panda skin fuzzy slippers, but Macy’s, Penny’s, and all the rest don’t seem to carry them. Seems like a shame to waste the pelts, given that they make a pretty good stew when you add a little green chili.
[Note to self: In the next batch, see if a little Thai chili sauce will help cut the “wild” taste a bit better.]
