When I was in school I would chew out the teacher if she/he said something more than once.

Does that count?

Glad you are able to get out and about, despite the problems.

The biggest danger would be becoming agoraphobic. By learning how what I have works I was able to adapt to it. If I want to go somewhere then I will go but sometimes I take an extra pill beforehand. They initially diagnosed it as General Anxiety Disorder and PTDS. About a year or two after onset I found a book where a Neurologist was linking it and a lot of ADD ADHD type symptoms to Vestibular Disorders and sensory processing damage related to it. After I put my foot down on the shrinks and told them no more antidepressants it stopped getting worse but won't get no better.

A low dosage of Xanax 3-4 times a day keeps it in check. They didn't like prescribing that at all though LOL. The Xanax controls my seizure activity considerably and is very fast acting if they hit while I'm out somewhere. Not a single thing they told me about what Xanax would do to me as happened in over 16 years using it.

My wife has to take it also for anxiety. It has never harmed her and like me she takes a low dosage. Antidepressants nearly killed her twice though. They can do things to you that you could not imagine. An adverse reaction to SSRI's can lead to Serotonin Syndrome. I saw it happen to my wife twice and missed by six doctors at two area hospitals. I caught it myself looking up the meds vs symptoms.

Trust me. If you REALLY have ADHD, you may joke about it some, but it really isn’t funny. It’s a daily struggle.

I was diagnosed as a child, but they didn’t call it that then....then as an adult, the doctor who diagnosed me (an old family friend), told me that’s what it was.

I had actually forgotten about it as a child.....I always knew I struggled...not with the learning disability, but all the other....and then I was in a car wreck, smacked my head and that messed with my short term memory which exasperated the ADHD....I was tested with to the hilt.... My numbers went off the charts...literally off the page.... I never actually got on medication until then. I take it on and off and I pay out of my pocket (will Obama buy it for me??????) LOL... It frustrates me to see people who are just forgetful or even lazy, to say duh, I’m ADD. I want to smack them. They have no idea that when you REALLY have it, even the simplest task can be overwhelming.

It also pains me to see it mocked so. I taught school for years and the ADHD kids always did better in my classes, simply b/c I understood them and employed simple measures that I knew would work to help them do better in my classes.

Gee, no kidding? I would not have guessed the liberal leaches of this country would actually lie to get a free ride. That NEVER happens.

full bipolar disorder is a heartbreaking and life shattering illness, if uncontrolled.
