I am not particularly a birther, but I looked at what Obama produced today.
It lists "kapiolani maternity gynecological hospital" as the hospital of birth.
It looks like this was never the actual name of the hospital --- Kapi‘olani Maternity Home and Kauikeolani Children's Hospital merged to form the hospital at issue --- in 1978, some 11 years after Obama's birth.
The Westlaw records do not list prior names like a lot of states, so there may be something, but I would encourage someone to go look at the physical Hawaii Secretary of State records and figure out when the name changed.
& Who was the Doctor, The signature looks like SIMLAR or SMILIE
When my son and daughter were born there in the mid 1960’s it was known as the Kapiolani Maternity AND Gynecological Hospital. Never in my memory was it called the Kapiolani Maternity Home, albeit that may be its historical name, i.e. sometime back in the 19th century.
What’s the Issue here?

If that is the case, none, but according the hospital’s website and Westlaw, the name on the BC didn’t occur until 1978.
Ahhhh... You think that they have the hospital name wrong, and that might indicate a forgery. Wrong track. The name is precisely as I remember it, and is typed on the Obama cert as “Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital”.
This is the correct name as I recall it, and it is exactly as typed on both birth certificates for my children, born in 1965 and 1968 at that facility.
If you look at the Nordyke twins BC, it lists the same name as Obamas - it looks like they were using that name as early as 61.

Wrong. I can't say that I can prove what the name was in 1961, but I know what it was in 1965, and I can't recall it having changed in the years prior to 1965. I had been driving by it daily since August 1961, and as far as I recall it was called Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital throughout that entire time.
While that may be an interesting point it is not that important. The IMPORTANT aspect of the document is that it is proof that he is NOT eligible since he is not a Natural Born Citizen. His father was not and NEVER has been a US citizen hence he cannot be a NBC no matter where he was born.
But all the asshats on the boob tube will just go on and on about how this disproves the “birthers” which, of course, it does NOT do. Will anyone have the guts to take this to the next step?

I’ve been wondering something and haven’t seen in covered yet. The White House put out a letter about 2 years ago that stated which hospital he was born at. Is this hospital the same as the original written claim or is this the 3rd claimed birthplace?
