Seriously, one cannot expect the release of the original. I am sure there are statutory requirements in Hawaii, as in all states, that the original record be kept by the state, but that certified true photocopies can be released. That is what this appears to be: a legally certified as true copy of the long-form birth certificate. It has the signature of the attending physician (which lots of FReepers had complained was missing from the short form), the location and date of the birth, etc.
Legally certified as true photocopies always have the date of the copy was taken along with the signature of the one (in this case an officer of the State of Hawaii) certifying the truth of the copy.
The media and press are nothing but propagandist and activist for the government. That is the template. They are no different than Pravda in the USSR. You have to accept this in order to understand why they say what the say when all the evidence points the other way.
