The RINO (reverend in name only) Terry Jones is like his fellow RINO, Fred Phelps, but in political drag.

Jones, the "pastor" (PINO?) of the tiny and inconsequential Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Fla., was jailed last week in Dearborn, Mich., "following a jury trial that found he was likely to create a 'breach of the peace' for plans to protest outside the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn," according to the Detroit News. Jones and his associate Wayne Sapp were taken into custody after they refused to post a $1 "peace bond." A judge then barred Jones and Sapp from entering the property of the Islamic Center -- the largest mosque in the U.S. -- for three years. The two posted bond and were released, but they promised to return on Friday.

Cal Thomas said of Pastor Jones, "Jones is a publicity hound and an offense to the One he claims to follow..."

Two things; 1. Cal, what would your life be if there was no TV camera to stick your face in front of, or if your name could no longer be found on any magazine article. Your life is lived in the lime-light, and you judge another man for his 15 minutes of fame? You can't stand it that somebody else gets some attention... You can't stand that Jones has the balls to march into the hornets nest and proclaim Jesus in the sanctuary of Satan... 2. Be careful whereof you judge, lest you be judged in the same manner... you know so much of who Jesus is? Tell me, Do you think Jesus would stand by while Satan sets up his Sharia (rhymes with diarrhea). You allow Sharia and you annihilate freedom, your freedom to show your pale face if front of a camera.

Cal Thomas had a good point about freedom of speech in the rest of the article, but lumping Terry Jones in with Fred Phelps is baloney. Jones didn't say anything bad, he just allowed a reaction to occur. If he had burned a Bible of US flag, the reaction would be totally different.

And the RINO appellation, (Reverend In Name Only) is very small minded. Would Cal Thomas also use that for Jesse Jackson, or the REVEREND Al Sharpton? What churches are they the pastor of? At least both Jones and Phelps have churches that they actually pastor.

And Mr. Thomas, what would you know of the One that Jones follows? Pastor Jones put his life on the line, doing something that could very easily cause him physical harm from the followers of Islam. He showed them exactly the difference between Islam and Christianity. Christians will not start killing and rioting because a book is defiled, Muslims will.
