***Watching Everyone Trying Not To Mention Sarah***
Stardate: 1104.26

Posted on 04/26/2011 5:31:10 PM PDT by The Wizard

I basically watch FOX news, because the others are complete and total liars, but it has become almost funny, (sad) watching the commentators bending every which way they can to not mention Sarah.....

It always Romney, or hucklberry or Trump....they just can't mention her name, and she is clearly the front runner no matter what Trump or ANYONE says....

BOR is on right now with Michelle Bachman and he hasn't mentioned Sarah's name.....

It will be interesting when she declares she is running, and not forming an exploratory committee to see what to do...not our Sarah...she will announce she's running.....

I am 62 years old and I have never seen anyone that frightened so many powerful people....they killed JFK, so Sarah better have good security, but both sides are scared to death of her, because, IMHO, if she runs, she wins. The America people, (not union thugs and communists) love her...

They were going all out to trash her every day, nonstop, when that guy at the ComPost promised to go a whole month without mentioning her.

I think that is the latest agreement among the media insiders. “Don’t mention Sarah!”

Of course, a few people haven’t gotten the message, or just can’t resist, but that does seem to be the major media ploy.

Much like what they did to Fred Thompson. The only thing anyone would say was that he was lazy, or waited too long, or wasn’t really serious, variations on a theme. It worked with Fred, but I don’t think it’ll work with Sarah.

Gotta love conspiracy theorists! They’re always the smartest people in the room, at least in their own minds.

Carter gave us Reagen, Obama should give us a true Conservative. We mustn't allow RINO's to prevail.

Palin/Bachmann 2012 or Cain/Me or any any other combination of the aforementioned...with the caveat that I am not running.

Personally, I’d love to see Walter E. Williams at the top of the ticket...assuming Rush has, as expected, declined to run due to the loss of income. :{)

G. W. was supposed to do that, remember?

His NWO handlers knew what sells to the electorate. We can only hope she can evade his handlers. That is the question for any candidate.

It’s creepier when he drools over her daughters. I didn’t know the freak was in his 60s. That’s even more creepy.

They know she’s inevitable.

They knew it the first time they saw her.

It's why they go insane every time they think of her.

ineluctable

I agree. She’s young enough to take the chance on passing on facing the incumbent a-hole Obama, and maybe seeing the Pubbie candidate win in 2012 and 2016. She has plenty of time.

I was watching the panel on Special report and was thinking the same thing. The first segment was about possable republicans running but not one word about Palin. It really is starting to piss me off.

She wants more coverage? She COULD bring up the eligibility issue..

Anyone running can confront Obama on his record.

Time for all to confront him on MISSING RECORDS!

Speak, you linguini spined mice!

I, too, find the way the “Inside-the-Beltway” pundits studiously avoid mention of Sarah at all costs rather humorous, and quite telling.

On the other hand, I think Sarah has laid low recently, since the release of her last book, with the exception of a couple of key, strategic appearances. One was international, when she went to India to make a huge foreign policy speech. It went quite well, so I hear. The other was to appear at the Tax Day Tea Party Rally in Madison, Wisconsin — which was a huge home run. Other than that, she has made a few appearances on news programs and posted on Facebook, but that’s about it. And she likes it that way.

Sarah may be playing it relatively cool in preparation for a run for the Presidency. It would be very unusual for a serious candidate to announce, however, and not have already formed a committee. On the same token, she has hired a well known and high powered campaign consultant. But, considering the unprecedented hostility of the media and political class unleashed against her (and I’m speaking not only of Democrats, but of RINO’s and Establishment Republican’s as well), if Sarah decided that now was not the time for her to run, that would be totally understandable.

Sarah Palin will have a great deal of influence in 2012, no matter what. Think of it this way. If she doesn’t run, she stays out of the line of direct fire, and she is free to get behind a Conservative candidate or candidates that will draw the Tea Party base together. She will be a King (or Queen) maker. That could be advantageous for both Sarah, and for the nation. And if she wanted to run in the future, nothing would forbid her from doing so.

I’m not saying that’s what Sarah will, or should do. Only that it’s what she COULD do. Of course, who she might choose to support if she takes this course, and when she announces she won’t run, and when she announces her endorsement, would be a delicate dance. It could alienate supporters of other candidates. Or, she could just pledge to support the eventual nominee IF he or she was a true Conservative.

One never knows what night happen. It would not surprise me if Sarah does not run. And I couldn’t blame her if she didn’t. On the other hand, she has a sense of patriotism and dedication that could just as likely compel her to enter the race. But if she does, she’ll do it her way, at a time of her choosing. Right now, seems she’s gonna keep us all guessing...

Palin will always draw a crowd. If she really wants media coverage, she can grab it anytime she wants

Interesting twist to that however; if your going to run, do you really want to advertise who you are meeting with and when? Seems to me, that would give away quite a bit to the rabid left.

But, applying Occam's razor and trying to empathize, I think I could understand wanting some privacy about now deeming as the world in general has gone completely crazy..

And then there is the matter of the strawberries missing from the officer’s mess. You may be on to something. I kid you not.

I really don’t see anyone else who can pull us out of this mess. Frankly, she is the first Republican candidate that I can get really enthusiastic about since Reagan. Not one.

She’s not the same as Reagan, but she has the same qualities that Reagan had: leadership, charisma, great appeal on the stump, real values, a solid foundation that won’t change with the wind, and the ability to appeal to decent people of every kind and class.

If she doesn’t run, I think we are cooked. But she will run, if she determines that God and her country are calling on her to do so. It’s not about what she can do for herself. It’s about what she can do for the country and its people.

I think Palin became almost overexposed for awhile. If it were policy speeches and political interviews that were drawing all the attention it would probably be fine, but instead Palin was getting celebrity like coverage focusing on her every personal foible, meeting, misstep, etc. This culminated during the Arizona shooting into a feeding frenzy against her.

She needed to get out of the spotlight for awhile. She stepped back in with her speech in Madison, and I expect her to slowly ratchet things up at the pace she chooses and in the venues she prefers.

I think Palin is watching the field and still making a decision on whether to run. If she does I will likely support her, if she doesn't I think would default to Bachmann.
