A teenager was stabbed and seriously wounded in a fight Monday at the National Zoo as the zoo marked African American Family Day. A 16-year-old was arrested and charged in the incident, D.C. police said.
D.C. police Cmdr. Michael E. Reese said the stabbing was connected to “some kind of ruckus” that apparently broke out within the zoo and might have resumed at or near the entrance on Connecticut Avenue NW.
.....The teenager was stabbed at least twice, at least once in the zoo and once at or just outside the entrance, Reese said. Some of the same assailants might have been involved in both attacks, he said.
.....In addition to the many children attending the zoo’s annual day-after-Easter celebration, tourists and youngsters on spring break filled the zoo to capacity, Legge said.
The free gathering dates to the 1890s. Oral history says that black domestic workers were required to work on Easter, so Monday was the day of family celebration.
In 2000, the Easter Monday celebration was marred when a teenager, in a dispute with teens from another neighborhood, shot and wounded seven people at the zoo’s main entrance. A year later, the shooter was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

“Free” referred to the event, not admission to the zoo, which is free every day. This incident is really a shame because the National Zoo ordinarily is a very safe place to take your family.

So if you have a literate culture does that always mean it will be a moral and ethical one? Muslims are very literate and they still lie, cheat, steal, murder, and blow up infidels to expand the caliphate they so dream of. They are very blessed with money and technology and it still does not turn them into moral and ethical individuals.
I can’t think of any Black dominated countries in the Northern Hemisphere that are First World. High rates of poverty, violent crime, drug use, prostitution, and other financial and social ills are a reflection of the spiritual poverty within the minds and hearts of that culture.
You go to any place on this Earth where Blacks go, whether it be a community in America, a Caribbean country, in any of the African nations, Europe, et al you will always find them causing a disproportionate amount of the problems we see.
Why does it always have to be someone else’s fault for their problems especially if they are running their own countries? Is Whitey causing them to oppress themselves?
And feral thugs have driven shoppers away from many malls, precipitating their shutdowns as well.

And none of what I wrote came anywhere close to saying that, blacks are absolved from any fault for their plight or that, “Whitey is causing them to oppress themselves.”

I've heard Memphis referred to as "Mogadishu on the Mississippi". I believe it.
It's worse than that. They're rejected by their own people and and sometimes rejected by whites who assume they're either thugs or affirmative action hires.

I know Washington very well and you are correct. That is a bery nice part of the town. What we used to call West of the Park.
It isn’t the neighborhood it is the denizens of the city who roam through it.
Just a while ago a woman was killed by a co-worker also West of the park, a very nice part of town, after she did the co-worker a favor and unlocked the store so the co-worker could get her coat.

Just this morning somebody posted a link to a video of the pastor of the church Obama went to last Sunday. In it, the pastor went into a lengthy rant about the nasty Tea Party. It's going to be a tough sell to those folks.
I heard about that pastor -— a year ago he “preached” about Rush Limbaugh being like the KKK.
Typical Leftist shouting about those who would lead their people to the truth — “evil” Rush,”racist” tea parties — advocating for keeping blacks under their thumb — just like NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, NPR and so on and so on do.
That’s why it must be done, if only one by one.

Tell me something. Who invented modern collectivism (in all of its flavors like democracy, communism, facism, Maoism, Stalinism, et al as we know it today? It was Whitey. Where was it exported to? All over the world including those nations that are Black dominated.
Again, name me a independent, Black dominated, and administered nation that is prospering financially, has a low violent crime rate, the illiteracy rate is low, families are fairly intact, and is not politically dominated and be oppressed by Leftists.
Answer? There are none. You keep avoiding answering my question. I would like to know that there is some hope for them by seeing at least one good example.
Do you think it is possible for the Black man to be self-governing by living by a set of principals, ethics and morals that respects and loves their fellow man? I certainly do because I have been friends with Blacks who are very, very good people. Unfortunately, right now they are in the extreme minority of their community and they aren’t well liked by their fellow Black brothers and sisters because they act and speak like Whitey.

When people are not controlled by the iron fist of oppression they have freedom to prosper.
