Four women and a 14-year-old girl have been found with their throats slashed in an exotic Mexico beach resort.
The semi-naked and bound bodies of two women and the teenager were discovered in the salon in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The other two victims were found dumped in an abandoned car and on a street behind a church in other parts of the town. All of the women were 30 years old or younger.
The teenage girl had begun working at the salon five days prior to her death
Police said they were not ruling out drug or organised crime linked to prostitution in the killings of five women, who were found on Saturday.
Guerrero state police chief of detectives Fernando Monreal Leyva said: ‘On the second floor where the events occurred, a massage parlour was found where sexual acts may have been performed, although this is still under investigation.
‘It's an area with many social problems.’
Police said they had no suspects or motives and were trying to determine whether all of the women were killed at the same spot.
Meanwhile the dismembered body of a woman was found scattered in a leafy suburb in Mexico City.
The woman’s upper body was found on one street, with her left and right legs found on the next two streets.
The body parts were stuffed into three plastic bags and the fingers of the victim’s left hand had been cut off.
Police said there were no details on the woman’s identity or a possible motive for the killing.

Some of the best times in my life have been had in Mexican resort and border towns. Don’t know if I will ever go back. I certainly won’t take my kids there again.
I wouldn’t step foot in that country if they gave me the vacation for free.
I mentioned this to someone, and they said “Around the border is unsafe, but Acapulco and Cancun are safe, the tourists will be protected.”
Probably safe, except for the women who do your hair and nails while you sip Pina Coladas. And hope you aren’t getting your hair done while they are getting their throats slashed.

Cabo is the only place in Mexico I would visit. They are far off the routes of the drug trade, and have no industry to speak of other than tourism, so the city fathers and police forces go to considerable lengths to make troublemakers unwelcome.

That is what alot of my friends say also. That it is safe in the resort areas. No thanks been there 4 times never again. Sick bastards.
I haven't been there since the hurricane. But I'd guess Cozumel may be a bit isolated from the drug war, simply because it's an island for divers that the gangs don't bother with. Pure speculation.

Perhaps trying to extract information? One at a time until they have what they want, or until they were satisfied that she didn’t know anything. Then, dismemberment to send a message to other non compliant targets.

Isn’t that an islamic thing for theives? Of course the murder and chopping up of the body of the enemy goes back to before the West discovered the America’s.

The government can’t find what it’s not looking for. I’ll bet there are plenty of them out in the dessert where one gang has jumped another for drugs or slaves.

We’ve been on a cruise to Mexico and visited Puerto Vallarta. I’ve always wanted to try Cabo but at this point my husband refuses to spend one red cent in Mexico.
IMHO any America who still goes to Mexico for vacation is simply crazy.There is no where safe there anymore.
