China should reduce its excessive foreign exchange reserves and further diversify its holdings, Tang Shuangning, chairman of China Everbright Group, said on Saturday.
The amount of foreign exchange reserves should be restricted to between 800 billion to 1.3 trillion U.S. dollars, Tang told a forum in Beijing, saying that the current reserve amount is too high.
China's foreign exchange reserves increased by 197.4 billion U.S. dollars in the first three months of this year to 3.04 trillion U.S. dollars by the end of March.

Under THIS pResident? I think you overestimate his resolve in protecting this nation from disaster.
Oh, I almost forgot to ask.
What is it about freedom that chafes your butt so much? I expect that you're all in favor of freedom of speech. And I'd be surprised if you're opposed to freedom of worship. But, for some reason, when it comes to the freedom to dispose of your private property as you see fit, you're against it.
What's that all about? Is the freedom to make a living something that the Constitution, in your opinion, shouldn't, or doesn't protect?
Well it will take at least 20 months to muster up an American consensus to actually stop selling our future for cheap imports.
Conservatives would do well to start now, run with that as the single most important issue (because it is), and 20 months from now...
(let’s see, that would be right after November 2012)
Just saying.
Pay attention to what the man is saying. If you had a brain in your head you'd realize that this has nothing whatsoever to do with 'free' trade. It has to do with using all that money to acquire resources around the world, resources taht will very soon be used against us.
It's too late to close the barn door now.

As I posted on another thread, it is ironic that Easter Sunday is the day when the piper called to be paid.
You guys are brainwashed.
“Free trade” is a massive, America-damaging failure.
Time to wake up, stop the failure, and put America first.
China is certainly putting China first. Kicking our butts. Taking our place on the world stage with shocking speed.
Wake up America. Soon.
You're an idiot.
Free trade is a massive, America-damaging failure.
Yea, that whole economic freedom thingy is just sooooo out of date. What do you want to control next?
put America first.put America first.
I'll put freedom and liberty and the Constitution first, thank you very much.
You keep the ‘freedom’ to fire Americans, offshore their jobs, and destroy our economy.
I’ll keep America.
Always.
Actually this means that interest rates are about to skyrocket to attract investors needed to buy up all of the debt. This of course will make the debt even larger, much quicker. We are in a death spiral and captain obama is not willing to pull up.
You're no American.

You’re such a weenie.
Move.
You’d be happier elsewhere. Not so many Americans.
Then all of the satanic elites will own the world.
And pray, tell, what have we to sell them other than Boeing aircraft, intellectual property/patents and foodstuffs?
For the amount of surplus they’ve accumulated, we haven’t enough to sell them.
You’re already seeing inflation in foodstuffs in part due to the Chinese buying huge amounts of corn and beans.
Yea, that tariff thing was such an imposition - I guess that’s why the Founding Fathers put it into the Constitution in Article I, Section 8. So if you truly put the Constitution first, then you’d adhere to the intent of the Founding Fathers to levy tariffs, rather than give power over our trade to an extra-constitutional, extra-national organization that isn’t elected, is accountable to no one and creates rules without any input from citizens affected by their policies, right?
Tariffs were a cornerstone of what was known as the “American School of Economics,” put into place by Alexander Hamilton.
It served us rather well through 1932, and parts of it through the late 60’s. Might want to check that out, because the last decade’s results for wage growth in the era of “free trade” don’t compare well to the results of wage growth of the era with tariffs in the US trade policy.
And, pray, tell... since when has giving such huge economic advantage to communists been considered “freedom?” Since when has doing anything to communists aside from killing them been associated with “freedom?”
