An Oakland woman and her cohorts shelled out $76,000 to get themselves into President Barack Obama's fundraising breakfast Thursday morning in San Francisco, just to disrupt it with a protest song in support of WikiLeaks suspect Bradley Manning.
"It was really worth the money, it really was," Naomi Pitcairn, 51, said later Thursday, adding that before the breakfast she "was up in the 'important people room' and ... I asked (California Gov.) Jerry Brown about Bradley Manning, and he didn't know who that is. Hopefully he will now."
As will the rest of the 200 people at the breakfast, where Pitcairn and her cohorts interrupted the president about five minutes into his speech with an a cappella rendition of their self-composed protest song. Pitcairn took off her outer shirt to reveal a T-shirt in support of Manning.
"All right, guys. That was a nice song. You guys have much better voices than I have. OK, thank you very much, guys," the president said when the protesters had finished singing, later adding, "Now, there's an example of creativity that we saw during the campaign. You know, it wasn't always convenient but it's part of what made 2008 special."
The protesters were escorted out of the St. Regis Hotel; none were cited or arrested.
"He's a classy dude, he's a charismatic guy," Pitcairn later said of the president. "We're all going to vote for him. It's even in the song: 'We'll vote for you in 2012, yes that's true, look at the Republicans, what else can we do?'"

That quake in Japan hit the wrong coast on the wrong continent.
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

The words of their song confirm Freepers predictions; no matter how unhappy they are with him, they will still vote for him. so why should he do anything different than what he wants, there are no consequences.

Wow, I could use that kind of money. Is there anything I can do to get them to protest me?

It is not much of a protest song when afterwards they say they are still going to vote for him in 2012.

Yes, and you and I both live in the cesspool of the SF Bay Area. The area seems filled to the brim with these types of people. We seem to have many more of these people as a percentage of our population. They are also more aggressive than the liberals you see elsewhere.

I live in the Portland area and can attest that we are a close competitor to the bay area when it comes to anarchists and commies and drug addicts.

You can ask Jerry Brown “Who is Jerry Brown?” and nine out of ten times he won’t know the answer.
