Newly elected Kentucky Senator, Rand Paul, has vowed to fight to end Obama and Hilary Clinton's work with the UN to pass the "Arms Trade Treaty." Paul said, "Disguised as an 'International Arms Control Treaty' to fight against 'terrorism,' 'insurgency' and 'international crime syndicates,' the UN's Small Arms Treaty is in fact a massive, global gun control scheme."
The UN wants to make all firearms subject to international law
The Arms Trade Treaty could:
Prohibit firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. Prohibit any transfer of firearm ownership. Require US citizens to deliver any banned firearms they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment. Require micro-stamping on all guns. Destruction of "excess" firearms.

According to the Arms Trade Treaty Preparatory Committee, The UN is, "Concerned by the misuse of weaponry around the world, civil society organizations have successfully mobilized governments and parliamentarians to call for the global regulation of the conventional arms trade." It is outrageous to think that when a few violent groups get their hands on guns the UN wants to confiscate firearms from law-abiding U.S. citizens. The UN Arms Trade Treaty is not going to convince terrorists and other violent groups to stop obtaining or using guns. Instead, the Arms Trade Treaty will make turn innocent Americans into sitting ducks for thugs and criminals.
UN Flooded With Funding From Gun-Grabbers
International gun-grabbing groups are already gearing up to present their anti-gun data at the preparatory committee meeting for the new treaty in July. Support for the freedom crushing treaty has received a tsunami of new funding from the think tank Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
According to their website, "SIPRI is an independent international institute dedicated to search into conflict, armaments, arms control and disarmament. Established in 1966, SIPRI provides data, analysis and recommendations, based on open sources, to policymakers, researchers, media and the interested public. SIPRI is named as one of the world's leading think tanks in Foreign Policy magazine's "Think Tank Index."

SIRI received funding from the foreign ministries of Norway and Sweden to research gun running. That funding will be used to for SIRI to engage in "unbiased" discussions at the Arms Trade Treaty meeting in July. One thing is for certain, those discussions will be biased.
While anti-gun groups like SIRI have the red carpet rolled out for them at UN Arms Trade Treaty meetings, pro-gun groups like CCRKBA have been shut out of most of the discussions. In June of 2010, my wife, Julianne Versnel, and I both worked to veto anti-Second Amendment language in the Arms Trade Treaty. We attended as NGO (non-Governmental Organization) delegates. It's no surprise that NGO representatives were told that they would be shut out of most of the meetings.

To be clear, I retreated on the first point. At first I thought the implication was that “All U.S. law” meant all American law. However, as I indicated, if you were speaking narrowly and really meant U.S. (i.e. federal) law, fine.

As far as I’m concerned, even a 9-0 decision against guns (banning them) by the USSC doesn’t carry any weight against the Second of the Bill of Rights Amendments. This is tantamount to declaring free speech banned. Simply put, it would be war.
