It has been a while since we saw RINO herds in such vast numbers roaming about FR. You're on a Trump thread and have come across a fresh steaming pile of dung that a poster has just dumped on FR, so a refresher course in RINO scatology is in order. How do you tell if it is RINO (Republicanus countryclubbus) dung or some other kind of dung (such as the garden variety from cattle)?
"He's not a perfect conservative" - RINO dung. It basically means he is not a conservative at all.
"You're just a single issue poster" - RINO dung. It means you are pointing out the RINOs many departures from conservativism, and the poster wants to pretend there is only one such departure and you are fixated on it.
"He's actually pro-life" - RINO dung - the candidate says he is personally pro-life but in favor of a woman's right to choose. Which makes him pro-choice.
"He had to make those donations to Dems because he is a New York developer" - RINO dung if the person in question made donations to politicians who never had anything to do with New York and also seldom if ever made donations to Republicans (note - this is a variation of RINO droppings that claim a candidate had to nominate Democrats to key posts because there were no pubbies available).
"There are no conservative candidates standing up to Obama" - could be cattle dung or RINO dung, not enough for positive scatalogical identification.
"So who do YOU think can beat Obama?" Probably cattle dung, sometimes dropped by non-RINOs to distract from their own candidate's issues.
Remember - be very careful not to step in the RINO dung, it can be really hard to get off your shoes.
Yeah, the folks spreading this manure act like we’ve never seen it before. Pretty funny if you ask me. But the stench still permeates the forum. Might take some kind of ionized air cleaner to get rid of it.
Oh my gosh! Did you really call ME a Rino????
Laughing!!! This is silly!
Believe me, if I were a lib, JimRob would have thrown me off 10 years ago!
I didn't say eligibility was the core issue.
I said WHO Obama IS is the core issue.
He will win or lose based on whether the majority of voters believes he puts America first.
Both Trump and Palin are attacking that issue. They are showing clearly that Obama does not.
It’s easier to herd cats than to herd FReepers. Your idea has merit, but I think it’s up to the candidates to make the case who is the best choice, and a lot of folks won’t even be declared by this time next month. So far, I am not convinced by any one candidate. But I DO know who I DON’T support - Romney and Trump.
Same here.
But I am grateful to Trump for the personal attacks on Obama and encourage him to continue.
I believe his doing good service for the country.
He's clearing the way for Palin.
You are correct, my bad.
Well, in a way, any re-election campaign is a referendum on the incumbent - and his record. At this rate, Obama's record alone will sink him. Stagnant wages and job growth. Rampant food and energy inflation. And a haughy indifference to the suffering that results.
Welcome back, Carter.
I am just getting over being called a Rino. Cracking up, now I am a “trump pimp”? A pimp gets someone to satisfy customers. Believe me, trump doesn’t need pushing, and I am not pushing him for president. He doesn’t want the job. Just let him decimate Obama’s chances and spur the lazy, scared Rinos on our side of the aisle to choose sides: protecting a usurper to the presidency, or discovering if Obama has scammed us all and trashed our constitution.
But the GOP nominee? Please, Trumpettes - don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.
My post is directed to those who are pushing Trump to be the GOP nominee - and there have been several of those on FR recently. I don’t think anyone, other than a few anti-birther Rovian posters, objects to Trump taking on Obama’s record. So why are you making such a big deal in taking on critics of Trump’s machinations of running for president?
Maybe someone will call you a n00b next. ;0)
Because they frustrate me. I do not mind anyone explaining that trump is no conservative. But for what he is doing, he doesn’t have to be. If saying he might run helps us destroy Obama, that is fine with me too. But as he told rush, he really does not want to leave his good life. I think if he can seriously wound Obama, and if someone with balls or ovaries steps up to the plate, trump will be quite happy not to run. The polls are reflecting that conservative voters have been waiting for someone to talk truth to power, lol. None of us love these wimps that are running. And the wimps look worse the more they cluster in with the MSM and swear they know Obama is eligible. No one does.
In case you missed it, in his speech in Boca Raton yesterday, Trump was making the case for him to be the GOP presidential nominee in 2012. So Trump is doing a lot more than exposing Obama, and the critics on FR are responding to his talk of running for president, and those on FR who think that's a good idea.
I challenge you to find any Trump critic on FR, other than known Rovian RINOs and anti-birthers, who are critical of Trump for taking on Obama. Hint - they are not. So then the question becomes - do YOU take issue with questioning Trump's conservative bona fides since he IS talking about seeking the GOP nomination?
Agreed. Romney & Trump definitly aren’t in my top 10.
As of right now here are my favorites should they decide to run:
1. Sarah Palin (She pisses off all the right people.)
2. Allen West
3. Scott Walker (I doubt he’ll run.)
4. Bachmann
5. Huckabee
6. Pawlenty
7. Herman Cain (Who I really like, but sincerely doubt can win.)
8. Jim DeMint
9. Rick Perry
10. Bobby Jindal
I could easily rally behind any of these.
Good list. I am not sure of what my personal rankings would be, but all of those would be good choices.
IF conservatives and Republicans allow this to happen again, the only thing which will stop Obama from a second term will be the eligibility issue, and only IF that gets traction and proof--or in the case of requiring proof, doesn't get that.
We have the future of our country on the line, so we'd better choose wisely, forget the pep-rally crap, and decide who is going to get the job done.
Failure to do so will mean our great-grandchildren will be lucky to even read about the America many of us grew up in.
I was a couple of weeks ago, but I sobered up. I like his attitude about some things but the more I find out about Turnip the less I like him. No way he would make a good candidate for our side.
I wonder sometimes if he is not setting himself up to run as an indie at the direction of some of his Dem buds so they can bleed votes off any Rep that gets the nomination.
/conspiracy mode off
If I was wrong, then I apologize. Your blog certainly sounded rino-like. So many of the FR blogs seem to be those scolding other bloggers for being too conservative, or not conservative enough, that it’s a challenge to discern the origin of the criticism.
But I have no problem at all with re-setting the circuit breakers.
Thanks. But you say my blog sounded Rino like? I don’t have a blog.
