Tina Fey may have been the darling of the left for her Emmy-winning impersonations of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live. But the comedic actress-director is now expressing regrets about her Palin pokes in her new book, Bossypants. As a matter of fact, Fey suspects that mimicking the former Alaska governor may have hurt the ratings of her NBC sitcom, 30 Rock. Some may argue that exploiting Governor Palin and her family helped bring attention to my low-rated TV show, Fey writes in an excerpt published in USA Today. I am proud to say you are wrong. My TV show still enjoys very low ratings. In fact, I think the Palin stuff may have hurt the TV show. Lets face it, between Alec Baldwin and me there is a certain fifty percent of the population who think we are pinko Commie monsters,

Lets face it, between Alec Baldwin and me there is a certain fifty percent of the population who think we are pinko Commie monsters,
Fey you nailed it, you leftist ho.
You could look up pix of her, but I watched for Vicki Lewis. :)
I’m not sure if it works over there but if you’re still in Baghdad and can get the discs, try NetFlix. I’ve been watching Charlie Chan, Mr Moto and Bulldog Crummond vids lately, not to mention one of my fave French films Touche Pas le Grisby (Hands Off the Loot!). I’m kind of on a Jean Gabin kick atm. It’s amazing how much good film there is out there from long ago.
She didnt learn the lesson from her mom about jumping into the lake if everyone else jumps in the lake.
Being a blind follower to be popular with the bad kids got her in trouble.
¡Que lastima!
I for one didn’t mind Fey’s impressions of Palin. Some were pretty funny, especially when Palin herself was on SNL.
What I did NOT like was that no commedian would touch Obama. It showed the media’s absolute bias and groupthink surrounding obama.
Ah, yes, the boss.
“..that plays Lilith fest, wears Birkenstocks, plays softball and doesnt shave.....”
You forgot the plaid shirts, comfortable shoes, and Subarus.
De riguer in these parts.
Michael Scott, the boss.

Whoa...lampooning Palin is mocking God? Unbelievable.
Court Jesters or village idiots, but not monsters
Boo hoo.
“Mess with the best, die like the rest.”
I like that!
Speaking of hag, Hollywood doesn't like sagging, old ladies so don't be mad if you don't get plum roles in feature films anymore.
Whoa...lampooning Palin is mocking God? Unbelievable.*
You missed the line before that, “You reap what you sow”
In other words, if you go around trying to destroy someone else’s career yours may be damaged due to unseen laws of reciprocity. If you plant bitterness, you may grow a crop of bitterness against yourself. Don't plant weeds.
Sarah Palin may be a good candidate, but she's not a deity.
Nicer, yes--but if done more fairly, I wouldn't mind it. Politics has been parodied and spoofed since the time of Aristotle, and humor has a place in it.
Unfortunately in this country the leftists have in large part, taken over much of the culture, and they integrate their message into all mediums. Sometimes it's subtle, most times it's not. Even more unfortunate, dim-witted viewers have taken these messages as gospel, believing that people like Oprah Winfrey, the "View" cast, and SNL are the leading authorities on public, military and foreign policy, and that these liberal icons understand the history of economics better than any of us.
"Tax cuts for the rich? Barbara Walters said we could pay off the national debts in 6 months!" "Did you see how stupid Palin was when Tina Fey did her on SNL? No WAY she could be president!"
You get the idea.
Then why are you complaining?
The problem I have with entertainment, particularly comedic entertainment, is how so many truly mediocre comedians seem to rise to the high paychecks..
Tina Fey’s SNL run was punctuated by effectively the same handful of jokes delivered over and over, and most of them weren’t funny no matter how they were delivered.
George Lopez, was never ever funny, got a sitcom that ran for years beyond my comprehension and now has a nightly show too? I understand hispanics may want some pride, but if you want to be respected you can’t just watch ANYTHING just because it has a chicano in it... Hold out for someone who’s actually funny.
Margaret Cho, never ever was remotely funny... yet got a Sit Com, that went for what a season? And she’s been milking bitching about its failure for over a decade now.
I could go on and on, but it truly amazes me.. Now I will say Fey is more talented that Cho or Lopez, but that’s really not saying much.
You forgot Steve Dunham!
