I will go to hell and back for Sarah Palin, literally. Why? Because this woman loves America as much as I do. She wakes up everyday, works hard, and does her best to do what is right for America and her family. She is truly an eloquent, inspirational person that conveys the greatness of America and displays dutiful American exceptionalism. Though extraneous, the Liberal mainstream media despises Palin because she isn’t afraid to speak out and express her concerns with the direction this country is taking. She has the efficacy, the influence, and a spine that’s built of steel. Even in the face of the nastiest, most misogynistic, vile attacks from the Left, Sarah Palin fights on with: class, grace, style, and charm. In doing so, she does not relinquish her influence from the attacks because her principles have and will make a difference for this country. So Sarah Palin's election might usher in Armageddon, the Rapture, and the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ on earth? OKAY...
I don’t believe I gave the blog a hit (and why isn’t this in bloggers and personal?) but the author deserves an award for most flowery adjectives used in a single piece. The problem is that once you remove the highly emotive bits, the ascriptions of motive, and the strawman “elites/establishment” there wasn’t much of substance left.
Which bring me to this once more: When did so-called conservatives start using the word “establishment” more than the hippies ever did? I’m just waiting for someone to bring “Down with the man” back to make it complete.
I love to build a little melodrama into my politics thank you for some additional imagery.
I’m reluctant to characterize a fellow conservative as a frothing lunatic, but I understand your secular concern.
Either you’ve written the spiritual dimension out of your worldview, or you have conceded to the enemy. I’d guess the former.
If there is a God, I don’t pretend to know His timing. I believe the world as we know it will end. I’m not sitting around until it does.
Constantine, the Crusaders, Churchill, Reagan and many others in between believed that Christians could make a difference, with God’s will and blessing.
I see no reason to think differently now, whether the end comes next week or a thousand years hence.
Evangelicals have a reason to believe they can positively affect things, and to support whom they see fit. If that makes us lunatics, so be it. History demonstrates otherwise, IMHO.

I have no idea what God intends to do. He will do what He will do and I doubt if he’ll let me in on the plan before hand.
I don’t see myself as a lunatic. But I do recognize evil when I see it. And I don’t see any difference between the GOP and the democrats. And I don’t see how a few Tea Party candidates is going to stop them. We tried. But the last election has not netted us much.
