The White House stopped just short of dismissing Donald Trump as a clown Sunday - calling him a "sideshow" act with "zero chance" of becoming president.

Trump countered that he represents Obama's biggest nightmare in the 2012 race and that the White house is running scared.
"I know for a fact that I am the only candidate they are concerned with," Trump told The Daily News. "They are very concerned because I am challenging him as to whether or not he was born in this country where there is a real doubt."
"He should focus on properly dealing with the Chinese, the Saudis and all of the other nations that are ripping off the United States instead of making up quotes about Donald Trump," the "Apprentice" host blustered on. "Barack Obama has done a terrible job as president."
While Trump is not viewed as having a real chance at winning the presidency, experts say his remarks cut to the core of what irks the White House the most, which explains the hostility behind Plouffe's diss.
"There is no issue that irritates the White House more than the birther issue," said Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia's Center for Politics.
"They view it as a symbol for those who refuse to acknowledge Obama as a legitimate president," he said. "The fact that someone as prominent as Trump is bringing this up is a source of real frustration."
Sabato predicted that despite the noise Trump is making, he would soon fade away.

Eventually, it will get to such a point that high-ranking members of the Democratic Party will privately ask Obama to release the long-form BC.

White House Dismisses Trump’s Chances
No, it would open the door to demands for other documentation.There is almost no paper trail for this guy.
Trump should take no flights to Martha’s Vineyard and stay away from Ft. Marcy Park!!
And such a simple solution, too. Show us the Birth Certificate!
There is no way I would want Trump on a Republican ticket, but as long as we are fantasizing, Trump would be far better on the bottom of a ticket than the top.
Imagine, say, a Palin/Trump ticket. Trump could go after Obama’s birth certificate day and night and it would not reflect on Palin. She would say “I’ve asked him to stop but you know Donald, once he sets his mind to something.”
The VEEP candidate has way more latitude to attack. On the attack, Trump would be far more effective as VP candidate.
That said, I don’t want him on the Republican ticket at all.

If discovery is allowed then Exhibit A will be the Lucas Daniel Smith procured birth certificate from Kenya with Smith being the custodian of record and star witness.
You really believe that a forger from Hawaii will confront Smith in a Federal court of law with a phony birth certificate?

The judges probably won’t let the Smith BC be entered as evidence because it has not been authenticated by Kenya. The earlier judge wouldn’t let Orly try to get it authenticated.
I do think Hawaii has a forged long-form ready and in their office. That’s why Fukino can all of a sudden describe the “birth record” she supposedly saw in 2008 and 2009.
As long as the federal court is the 9th Circus there’s no reason for Obama to NOT produce a fake. They can give a bogus decision based on a bogus document, and then SCOTUS can refuse to hear the appeal and the coup will be completed without SCOTUS even having to weigh in.
The law only means something if the judges say it does, and evidence only means something if the judges say it does. As long as we’ve got corrupt judges, neither facts nor the law makes any difference.
